Administrative / biographical history: The collection was donated to the Library by Mrs. Marion Buchan of Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, who had collected the programmes over 20 years. The majority relate to plays (especially Royal Shakespeare Company productions) and (mostly English National and Royal Opera Company productions).
