Fujii(KEK) 16:20- 16:40 Future Perspective Y. Kimura(KEK) 16:40- 17:30 Discussion I. Accelerator i i Present Status of Accelerator R&D for the .ILC Koji Takata KEK This is an overview of progress in accelerator R&D work, as of February 1992, for the JLC. Details of our work may fall into three categories: (1) parameter optimization, (2) separate R&D works, most of which are experimental and are being carried on rather independently from each other, (3) promotion of the ATF(accelerator test facility) project with emphasis put on design and construction of a test damping ring. Parameter Optimization The parameters for the center-of-mass energy 1 TeV are listed in the table below. They are basically the same as old ones, although many detailed modifications have been made according to progress in simulation studies and hardware developments. The key parameter would be the X-band RF frequency chosen at 11.424 GHz from the beginning. Technologies of high power klystrons at such a high frequency are quite new to us and a lot of hard R&D work should be carried out to practically use thousands of such tubes in a linear collider. If we limit the center of mass energies to about 500 GeV or lower, however, we may choose a lower RF frequency where the RF source technology is far easier. This option might be attractive if we have to construct a linear collider very soon. Such a possibility is, however, not certain enough at present. Therefore R&D work for the RF source shall be still restricted to 11.424GHz. In fact X-band klystron and structure studies are halfway and require at least a few more years for us to get convincing results. Any action which impedes activities in this direction would be unfavorable, possibly making many of the achieved results useless, under present circumstances of the unripe technological status. Furthermore the total AC power would surely become impracticably large if the energy has to be raised eventually to 1 TeV. 1 Various R&D Studies The separately going R&D studies consist of the following programs: (1) electron /positron sources. (2) X-band klystrons, (3) X-band structures, (4) final focus optics design and hardwares, (5) design of the interaction region. The elecironlposiiron sources We have achieved noticeable advances in the development of polarized electron sources and RF gun.

Cubed Circle Newsletter 241 – Consistency is Hard As many of probably noticed, we have been posting late and sporadically for the last month. This was, obviously, not our intention, but with the second semester eating into my free time, staying up to date is a tall order. Even without the newsletter itself seeing weekly publication the site has still remained up to date on a weekly basis, thanks primarily to co-author Ben Carass, as well as guest writers Paul Cooke and Leslie Lee III. But, the newsletter has survived for well over 241 weeks, and will hopefully thrive in the years to come. I have attempted to make provisions for publishing related tasks which should minimize the risk of major delays (obviously there will be some regular delays, as this late issue can attest), but we have some fail safes in place in order to keep this to a minimum. With all of this said, we have a great issue for everyone this week with Paul Cooke discussing the Pro-Wrestling Only Greatest Wrestler Ever project and his personal experience with the poll, Ben covers the news including tons of results from Japan and the Lesnar USADA violation, the Mixed Bag returns with a look at comedy wrestling, Ricochet/Ospreay, and a potential WWE match of the year -- plus Ben also looks at last Sunday's Battleground show and the first RAW of the brand split (a very good show). Also, for those unaware, we now have an official Twitter account @CubedCircleWres allowing the banger to unprecedented highs at @BenCarass and @RyanClingman.

Cubed Circle Newsletter 179 – WrestleMania Weekend 2015 We didn't have an issue last week due to WrestleMania Weekend, and our preparation for various events. However, we are back this week for what will be, behind the yearbook, most likely our biggest issue of the year covering not only WrestleMania 31, but also all the WWN Live shows (excluding Kaiju), the Hall of Fame, last week's RAW and NXT, Balor/Owens, the post-Mania RAW, terrific ratings, and more! It was the happiest time of the year – WrestleMania Weekend. – Ryan Clingman, Cubed Circle Newsletter Editor WrestleMania 31: A Classic Show? Not Really. Ryan Clingman. It seems strangely apropos that the most important piece of build on this year's Road to WrestleMania took place not in a medium governed by the pens of creative, or even exclusively by the whims of Vince McMahon, but rather through the contract negotiations between the aforementioned VKM and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. With Mania excitement as low as it has been in years, perhaps decades the WrestleMania 31 outlook was far from positive – a reality further compounded by what seemed to be the inevitable departure of Brock Lesnar for a second run with the UFC. Whilst Creative was not remedied during the final week's build, nor may it be recovering a week on from the year's biggest show, last week's breaking news of Lesnar re-signing with the company, soon heated, at least somewhat, a build that had been fast approaching absolute zero. No longer, as in WrestleManias over the past five years, was this show's closing image predictable – the opposite was the case, in fact, as many a possibility involving Lesnar, the heel who was over like a God, Reigns, who was hated by the majority, and Seth Rollins, the Money in the Bank briefcase holder with respect from the hardcore fanbase – were possible.

The myth of the unbeatable fighter is just that, a myth. In what will go down as the single most memorable UFC fight in history, Ronda Rousey was not only defeated, but systematically destroyed by a fighter and a coaching staff that had spent years preparing for that night. On 2/28, Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey were the two co-headliners on a show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The idea was that Holm, a former world boxing champion, would impressively knock out Raquel Pennington, a .500 level fighter who was known for exchanging blows and not taking her down. Rousey was there to face Cat Zingano, a fight that was supposed to be the hardest one of her career. Holm looked unimpressive, barely squeaking by in a split decision. Rousey beat Zingano with an armbar in 14 seconds.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter February 17, 1992 Just days after the Florida state legislature voted down the bill licensed with the commission so that their names would be on to implement steroid testing of pro wrestlers, World file for the random anabolic steroid and street drug tests, Championship Wrestling Executive Vice President Kip Frey however there would be no licensing or registration fee announced the promotion would be announcing an anti-steroid policy within the next week. No details about the policy were *Promoters would be charged an annual fee for a promoter's available at press time but it will include wrestlers making public license. If the promoter averaged more than 1,000 paying service anti-steroid promos on television. Hopefully Frey, who is spectators per event in Florida over the previous year, his a newcomer to the wrestling world, will realize the touchiness license fee would be $1,000 (which would mean only WWF and involved in this issue and not try to have wrestlers who have WCW). All others wishing to promote would have to pay $250 achieved the spotlight partially through the use of steroids for a promoters license (which covers a lot of ground) to then make statements that give one the impression they would never touch the stuff. Frey *There would be a five percent tax on all live gates. The original also said in comments for this coming Sunday's Miami Herald bill included taxes not only on live gates, but also on gimmicks that WCW would be instituting a policy to post signs in front of sold at live events and pay-per-view revenue from systems arenas when advertised talent isn't going to appear.

Cubed Circle Newsletter 237 – Who's Huntin' Hunt? We (Ben) are back with the last of the 'Exam Session of Doom' newsletters for the time being with coverage of all the major news from the week in wrestling including Ospreay's BOSJ victory, the return of Brock Lesnar to the UFC, Cody Rhodes' bucket list, NXT Takeover: The End, Monday Night RAW and more! – Ryan Clingman, Cubed Circle Newsletter Editor The Pro-Wres Digest for June 5th – June 11th Ben Carass Top Stories: While still under WWE contract, and with the approval of the company, Brock Lesnar will be fighting Mark Hunt at UFC 200 on July 9th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The return of the former UFC and WWE World Heavyweight Champion was officially announced at the UFC 199 show on 4/6 when he appeared at the very end of the commercial for UFC 200. On the broadcast, Joe Rogan appeared to have no idea what was going on and Mike Goldberg had to explain that Lesnar was coming back to fight. Hunt was named as Lesnar's opponent on 6/6 during an interview with Brock on ESPN's Sports Centre. Lesnar talked about regretting the decision to retire from MMA, which he made prior to WrestleMania 31 last year when he re-signed with the WWE. He also noted that he called Dana White first and things got rolling from there, with White and McMahon making “billionaire decisions” to put the deal together. Dave Meltzer reported in the Observer this week that Lesnar had a clause added to his WWE contract contract which allowed him to take one fight in the UFC and that Brock and the WWE had no influence in choosing the opponent.
