Due to high demand, the manufacturer ordering deadline for the 2016 Ford F-Super Duty is at risk of being accelerated from its currently scheduled date of 4/1/16. Ford strongly recommends early order placement to fulfill orders with preferred specifications. The all-new 2017 F-Super Duty features a new high-strength steel frame, a military-grade aluminum-alloy body, and stronger axles, springs and suspension body. New driver assistance features include SYNC 3, Trailer Reverse Guidance and Adaptive Cruise Control. The order bank for the 2017 F-Super Duty will open on 4/13/16 and production is scheduled to begin at Ford’s Kentucky Truck Plant in July. As noted in last week’s FleetWire, the revised ordering deadline for the 2016 Transit Connect is 3/18/16 (previously 3/4/16). Ford has requested advance notification for orders of 50 or more. If you plan to place a volume order before the end of the model year ordering cycle, please contact your ARI representative. Nissan has extended the ordering deadlines for multiple 2016 models by more than one month. For example, the NV200 Cargo Van, which had a previous deadline of 2/15/16, will now be available for ordering until 6/1/15. The NV Passenger Van deadline was 7/15/16 and is now 9/1/16. For all the latest dates and revisions please visit the ARI Build-out / Start-up Dates webpage at http://www.arifleet.com/resources/manufacturing-updates/build-out-start-up-dates/ Hyundai Motor is preparing to launch its all-new global luxury brand, Genesis, which promises to deliver ‘human-centered’ luxury, performance, design and innovation. Genesis will be a stand-alone brand that operates alongside the company’s Hyundai marque and will feature a lineup of six new vehicles by 2020. The first models to be launched with the new Genesis badging will debut this year as the G90 (pictured above) and G80 luxury sedans. Future models will be named by combining the letter ‘G’ for Genesis with a number, 90, 80 or 70 etc., representing the segment. Formerly the Hyundai Equus, the G90 is positioned to be the Genesis flagship model. It will be offered with a choice of three gas engines: 3.3L T-GDI V6, 3.8L GDI V6 or 5.0L GDI V8. The model will also feature the latest technologies, such as Advance Smart Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assistance System and Smart Posture Caring System. Hyundai will begin accepting orders for the 2017 G90 on 3/1/16 and the model is slated for production on 5/1/16. The G80, formerly the Hyundai Genesis, will be launched as a 2017 model shortly after the G90 with an ordering date of 4/16/16 and a production date of 6/1/16. Hyundai will release features and details closer to the model’s launch date. Auto Truck Group, a Holman Automotive upfitter that specializes in the design, manufacture and installation of equipment, recently announced that the company’s Louisville location will move to a new facility during the first quarter of 2016. The company does not anticipate any disruptions in its production schedule during the transition. Located at 30 Kingbrook Parkway in Simpsonville, Kentucky, the new service center will further enhance Auto Truck Group’s manufacturing capabilities and production volume. The facility, along with its 15 acres of storage, will feature nearly 80,000 square feet of production space, more than double the current location, and will also include new paint and spray-on bed liner booths. Auto Truck Group’s Louisville service center offers ship-through capabilities for Ford’s F-Series Super Duty, E-Series, Escape and Expedition models, along with a pool of Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks. Replacing the crankshaft and bearings should not be attempted. Caution: If any malfunction is experienced which may cause debris to enter the oil supply, You must replace the engine oil cooler and hoses.

While the vehicle will not be sold in the United States, the Equus will serve to showcase the wide variety of vehicles produced by parent firm Hyundai Motor Company of Korea. While many American auto show goers are familiar with Hyundai’s current offerings in the United States, they may be unaware of the full range of vehicles built by Hyundai and sold in other parts of the world. The Equus display will allow the company to broaden understanding of Hyundai’s worldwide offerings. It was first seen at the Seoul Motor Show in 1999 and has been on sale in Korea for several months, where sales have exceeded initial expectations. The Equus on display has an overall length of 199 inches, about the size of a Cadillac Eldorado and a wheelbase of 111 inches. The vehicle is front wheel drive. The Equus is available in Korea with two engines, a 3.5­liter DOHC V­6 or a 4.5­liter DOHC V­8 which utilizes Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) technology. The V­6 develops 220 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 215 foot pounds of torque at 3,500 rpm.
