The two teams at the head of Group C meet at the Parc de Princes with Paris Saint-Germain needing one more point to qualify for the knockout rounds as section winners and Olympiacos FC aiming to join the hosts on ten points. • Thiago Motta scored twice on matchday one as Paris won 4-1 in Piraeus. Edinson Cavani's opener was cancelled out by Vladimír Weiss but a powerful second-half display gave the visitors an emphatic victory despite Zlatan Ibrahimović missing a penalty. Marquinhos added a fourth goal following Motta's pair of headers. • Laurent Blanc's side then beat SL Benfica 3-0 and continued their scoring spree in a 5-0 triumph – their biggest European away victory – at RSC Anderlecht in which Ibrahimović scored four. They dropped their first points in the return, being held 1-1 despite Ibrahimović's seventh goal of the group stage. • On matchday two Olympiacos won 3-0 away to Anderlecht courtesy of Kostas Mitroglou's hat-trick and then drew 1- 1 in Lisbon. Their home game with Benfica brought a vital 1-0 victory and a firm grip on second place. Previous meetings • The 17 September meeting was the first between the sides and also the first time Paris had tackled a Greek side in the UEFA Champions League. • They are unbeaten in all eight contests against opponents from Greece, winning seven and drawing one, and Weiss' strike was the first time their goal had been breached. They last welcomed Greek visitors for a 2006/07 UEFA Cup round of 32 tie against AEK Athens FC, winning 2-0 home and away. • The Greek champions have a long history against French opposition and were paired with Montpellier Hérault SC last season, Olympique de Marseille the previous year and FC Girondins de Bordeaux in the 2009/10 round of 16. • Olympiacos won their last two games in France. Mitroglou got the winner in a 2-1 triumph at Montpellier, having also scored in a 3-1 home victory. The 1-0 win at Marseille in November 2011 halted a run of seven successive defeats, home and away, against French teams. • In 27 games against rivals, Olympiacos have a record of W10 D3 L14 (W4 D1 L8 away). Match background • PSG, in the group stage for the sixth time, reached the quarter-finals last year where they drew 2-2 at home to FC Barcelona and 1-1 in Spain, going out on away goals. They won all three home games in the group, drawing both in the knockout stage. • Olympiacos, in the group stage for the 15th time and a third season in succession, reached the 1998/99 quarter- finals. • Last season they finished third in Group B, losing at Arsenal FC and FC Schalke 04 in addition to the win in Montpellier. The previous season they also finished third in their section, losing away against Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund and winning at Marseille. Team ties • Laurent Blanc and Míchel faced each other when France and Spain met in a UEFA European Championship qualifier in Paris on 20 February 1991. Blanc scored France's final goal in a 3-1 win. • Blanc and Olympiacos' former player and current strategic adviser Christian Karembeu were members of the France team that won the 1998 FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO 2000. • Blanc started all four of Manchester United FC's UEFA Champions League first group stage games against Olympiacos in 2001/02 and 2002/03, all ending in United victories. Blanc scored the opening goal in a 3-2 win in Piraeus on 23 October 2002. • Several Olympiacos players have had spells at French clubs: Paulo Machado (AS Saint-Étienne and Toulouse FC), Javier Saviola (AS Monaco FC), Carl Medjani (St-Étienne, FC Lorient, FC Metz, AC Ajaccio and Monaco), Joel Campbell (Lorient), Gaëtan Bong (Metz, Tours FC and Valenciennes FC), Delvin Ndinga (AJ Auxerre and Monaco) and Sambou Yatabaré (SM Caen, Monaco and SC Bastia). • Machado and Thiago Silva were team-mates at FC Porto in 2004/05 while Machado played with Blaise Matuidi at St- Étienne in 2008/09. • Saviola and Thiago Motta were team-mates at Barcelona for three seasons from 2001. • Medjani and Christophe Jallet were together at Lorient in 2006/07. • Medjani scored Ajaccio's goal in a 3-1 Ligue 1 loss to Paris in October 2011. • Gaëtan Bong scored in Valenciennes' 2-2 draw against Paris at the Parc de Princes on 5 May 2010.

Paris UEFA milestones and competition statistics • Zlatan Ibrahimović became the tenth player to score four goals in a UEFA Champions League game when Paris won 5-0 at Anderlecht on matchday three – the French club's biggest away win in Europe. Ibrahimović has scored seven in this group stage, a return bettered only by Cristiano Ronaldo (2013/14), Ruud van Nistelrooy (2004/05), Filippo Inzaghi and Hernán Crespo (both 2002/03) who all managed eight. • Thiago Motta, Ángel Di María and Samir Nasri have made a competition high of four assists apiece. Gregory van der Wiel and Ezequiel Lavezzi have both been credited with three. • Van der Wiel is a booking away from a suspension after picking up two yellow cards. General information • Ibrahimović has scored 17 goals in his last 11 appearances for club and country; Edinson Cavani, rested for Saturday's 3-0 win at Stade de Reims, has managed eight in as many outings. • Paris have not lost since 2 March when they went down 1-0 at Reims, though they were defeated on penalties by Évian Thonon Gaillard FC in April's French Cup quarter-finals. The Reims reverse was also the last time the Paris club failed to score. • Thiago Silva returned after seven weeks out (hamstring) in the 3-1 win against OGC Nice on 9 November. International duty • Ten Paris players were called up for senior duty during the international break: Blaise Matuidi (France), Ibrahimović (Sweden), Salvatore Sirigu, Thiago Motta (Italy), Van der Wiel (Netherlands), Cavani (Uruguay), Thiago Silva, Maxwell, Marquinhos (Brazil), Lavezzi (Argentina). • Ibrahimović scored twice in the second leg of Sweden's FIFA World Cup play-off defeat by Portugal, but his side still lost 3-2, 4-2 on aggregate. Matuidi helped France recover a 2-0 first-leg deficit against Ukraine while Cavani was on target as Uruguay booked their place in Brazil 2014 with a 5-0 triumph over Jordan. Olympiacos UEFA milestones and competition statistics • Kostas Mitroglou became the first Greek player to score a UEFA Champions League hat-trick at RSC Anderlecht on matchday two. The forward is now third in Olympiacos' all-time European scoring standings with 12 goals, behind Nikos Anastopoulos (14) and Predrag Djordjević (15). • Olympiacos' next defeat in UEFA competition will be their 100th. • Only eight players registered for last season's group stage feature this time round: Balázs Megyeri, José Holebas, Giannis Maniatis, Mitroglou, David Fuster, Dimitris Siovas, Kostas Manolas and Paulo Machado. • Maniatis is a booking away from a suspension after picking up two yellow cards. General information • Andreas Samaris scored his first goal for the club and claimed two assists as Olympiacos won 4-1 at Panthrakikos FC on Saturday. Miguel Torres came on for his debut, the 26th player used this season in the league by Míchel. • Vladimír Weiss returned to action on Saturday after a knee injury while Michael Olaitan was on the bench after a hamstring problem. Siovas was out with a knee injury suffered on international duty. • Mitroglou has scored 17 goals in 15 appearances for Olympiacos in 2013/14. He had not scored a hat-trick before this season but has netted four already this term. • Olympiacos are 28 away league games unbeaten and nearing their own Greek record of 29 set in 1972-1974. • Olympiacos have not lost a domestic game since Míchel took the reins in February, winning 26 and drawing three. International duty • Ten Olympiacos players were called up for senior duty during the international break: Maniatis, Siovas, Mitroglou, Holebas, Samaris, Manolas (Greece), Carl Medjani (), Gaëtan Bong (Cameroon), Joel Campbell (Costa Rica), Roy Carroll (Northern Ireland). • Mitroglou starred as Greece qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, netting twice in a 3-1 first-leg win before notching in the 1-1 return. He has scored six goals in seven matches for Greece this season. Medjani helped Algeria to a 1-0 victory over Burkina Faso that sealed an away-goals triumph and a place at Brazil 2014.

6 Paris Saint-Germain - Olympiacos FC Wednesday 27 November 2013 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Parc des Princes, Paris Head coach Paris Saint-Germain: Laurent Blanc Date of birth: 19 November 1965 Nationality: French Playing career: Montpellier Hérault SC, Napoli SSC, Nîmes Olympique SC, AS Saint-Étienne, AJ Auxerre, FC Barcelona, Olympique de Marseille, FC Internazionale Milano, Manchester United FC Coaching career: FC Girondins de Bordeaux, France, Paris Saint-Germain • The defender's 20-year club career brought a French Cup win with Montpellier in 1990, a 1996 league and cup double with Auxerre, the 1997 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup with Barcelona and a title with United just before retirement in 2003. • Nicknamed Le Président on account of his authority, elegance and leadership. Famous for 'good luck' kiss on goalkeeper Fabien Barthez's bald head before kick-offs, he won the 1998 FIFA World Cup on home soil after scoring France's golden goal winner against Paraguay in the last 16, but missed the Paris final after being sent off in the semi- final. • Helped France win UEFA EURO 2000, scoring against Denmark in the group stage, before retiring from international football that year with 97 caps and 16 goals. • Spent four years gaining coaching qualifications before taking charge of Bordeaux in June 2007. His team finished second in his first season and won a championship and League Cup double in 2009. Guided Bordeaux to the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League quarter-finals before succeeding Raymond Domenech as France coach that summer. • Blanc's France lost their first two games but then went 23 matches unbeaten prior to two losses at UEFA EURO 2012, the second in the quarter-finals against Spain. He subsequently left his post as national coach but returned to management when stepping into Carlo Ancelotti's shoes at Paris in June 2013. Olympiacos FC: Míchel Date of birth: 23 March 1963 Nationality: Spanish Playing career: Real Madrid CF, Atlético Celaya Coaching career: Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, Real Madrid Castilla, Getafe CF, Sevilla FC, Olympiacos FC • Joined Real Madrid aged 13, rising through the club's ranks before winning the second division championship with 'B' side Real Madrid Castilla. Subsequently stepped up to the first team and would later become one of five key home- grown players known as La Quinta del Buitre, or The Vulture (Emilio Butragueño) and Co. • The right-sided midfielder played in 559 official games for the capital outfit with whom he won – among other titles – six Ligas and back-to-back UEFA Cups (1985, 1986). Míchel also represented Spain at youth, Under-21 and senior level, scoring 21 goals in 66 appearances for La Roja between 1985 and 1992. • Led Rayo Vallecano to fifth place in the Spanish third tier in his first stint as coach in 2005. Subsequently headed back to Madrid to take charge of Castilla, but it was at Getafe where his reputation as a tactician grew, helping the club to avoid relegation on the last day of the 2009/10 campaign. • Enjoyed a brief stint at Sevilla before deciding to pursue a career outside Spain. In February 2013, he was appointed by Olympiacos, taking over from UEFA EURO 2004-winning goalkeeper Antonis Nikopolidis, who had stepped in as interim coach a month earlier when the Piraeus club fired Leonardo Jardim. • Shortly after his appointment, Olympiacos failed to make it past the UEFA Europa League round of 32, succumbing to Levante UD. They were well on their way to their 40th league title, though, the first of Míchel's coaching career, while they also secured the domestic double by beating Asteras Tripolis FC in the Greek Cup final.
