Alan Court This is a fine Grade II Listed house arranged in an ‘L’ shape overlooking a gravelled turning circle with lawn to the centre. It is built of limestone rubble with artificial stone-slate roof and dates from the early to mid 17th century and was extended in 1937. The house has considerable period detail with ornate ceiling moulding, exposed beams, stone mullioned windows and flag stone floors. It has accommodation over two floors with well proportioned reception rooms and presently there are seven bedrooms, two bath / shower rooms and WC to the first floor. However the main bedroom would benefit from an ensuite bathroom which could be achieved by converting bedroom 6, subject to the necessary consents.

There are two points of vehicular access; firstly a driveway from Ponds Lane and secondly via the stone arch with wrought iron gates from Mill Lane. Outbuildings The stone barn and attached outbuildings lie diagonally opposite the house. The barn overlooks and has access onto the rear garden and has been used for wedding receptions and concerts. It could be converted to provide ancillary accommodation/office subject to the necessary consents. Attached to it is the garage and stores.
