A drawing of lots will be carried out in the same room where the Preliminary Inquiry is held, place the teams in the bracket in accordance with the Sport Regulation. Finalized seeding list and the match up & additional detailed information on the competition will be distributed on the FIVB website immediately once the seeding list is established, possibly within 1 hour after the completion of the Preliminary Inquiry or eventually after the drawing of lots (if applicable).

Note: The athlete is responsible for paying the relevant taxes for his/her earnings in his/her own country and he/she must update both his/her bank account details and his/her personal information at the beginning of the contract year through the FIVB Beach Volleyball web based system.

The tax at source might be implemented as per the fiscal regulations/laws in the countries where the tournament is held.

Organizer will provide local transportation (airport transport and hotel-venue) for all Main Draw players. The travel form (BVB/31 – Athletes & BVB/31b - Delegation) has to be sent to the Organizer at the latest three days before the start of the event. From Changi International Airport, you may choose to get to venue at Siloso Beach, Sentosa, via: Taxi

Estimated charge of SGD30++ with an estimated travel duration of 30 minutes

Metro / MRT

In order to get the MRT (metro) to Sentosa Island, you will need to take the East West MRT Line (Green Colour) from , changing at Tanah Merah station towards Joo Koon. You will then alight at Outram Park and take the North East (Purple) Line to Harbourfront. This journey should take you around 45 minutes from the airport.

From Harbourfront station, you will need to either take the Singapore Express (monorail) to the island which takes around 7 minutes, or walk the boardwalk (which is free), and takes 15 minutes.

The MRT is available in the basement of Terminals 2 and 3 at the airport- the signs directing you should say " to city".

Singapore Airport has four terminal buildings. If you need to make your way between the buildings there is a variety of options available.

The most common option for transport between the buildings is the SkyTrain, which runs 05:30am - 02:30am every day and will take around 5 -7 minutes to get between the terminals. You can also walk the connections - the path is open 24/7.

There is a shuttle bus that connects terminals 2 and 3 which operates again between 05:30am - 02:30am that goes to Gate E and B.

Finally, if you need to reach/leave from Terminal 4 there is a specific shuttle bus that will go there, however you need to show your boarding pass for the terminal before you can board it. It is available from the Terminal 2 arrivals hall and operates 24 hours.

BUS

Sentosa Island has no direct bus line, so like the MRT you will need to change your bus at Marina Bay, however the journey will take much longer. Firstly, take the bus from the airport, 36/36A, alighting at Temasek Ave - Ritz Carlton and change to the 97 bus to Vivocity. There you will find the Monorail (7 minutes) and access to the boardwalk (15 minutes) to reach Sentosa.

The bus fare is S$2.50 or S$1.84 if you purchase an EZ- Link card.

The bus driver is payable for a standard ticket - have the correct amount if you purchase on the bus as the driver does not give change.

The EZ-Link card can be purchased at the ticketing offices in the arrivals area of the airport. This can also be used to pay the S$4 for the transfer across on the Sentosa Express Monorail. Alternatively, you can purchase the single transfer when you get to the station.

BOARD AND LODGING

The organizers will provide the Main Draw teams with hotel accommodation (double room) in the Organizer's designated hotel and with meals from the evening before the start of the Main Draw until the day after the elimination of the teams from the event, breakfast included. Athletes will be personally responsible for all extras at the hotel such as mini-bar, phone calls, laundry, etc. to be paid upon checkout. Organizers will not be required to make reservations for coaches, guests, teams’ physiotherapists, friends, or family members accompanying the participating athletes. The FIVB strongly recommends that the organizers accommodate athletes in different hotels than the hotel for the FIVB officials and referees.

PLAYERS’ ELIGIBILITY

All athletes participating in an FIVB beach volleyball sanctioned event must:

- Hold the citizenship of the country they represent; - Register with their respective NF; - Register with the FIVB through their respective NF; - Submit the 2017-2018 Beach Volleyball NF-Athlete’s Commitment (BVB-01) signed by the NF and the athlete minimum 30 days before the first event’s participation in 2017 season; - Submit an annual health certificate (BVB-10) minimum 30 days before the first event’s participation in 2017/2018 season. - Undertake the FIVB Anti-Doping education program “Play clean!” For further information, please access FIVB online Anti-Doping education program here: http://www.fivb.org/RealWinner - Complete and modify his/her personal data (such as his/her exact coordinates, bank account information, etc.) through the FIVB beach volleyball Web based application system (http://www.fivb.org/visasp)

UNIFORM AND ACCESSORIES If required by the FIVB Technical Delegate, uniforms and accessories will be checked during the Preliminary Inquiry. Athletes of the same team must wear the same colour and style of shorts. The display of the individual players' sponsors' logos on shorts and accessories must comply with the FIVB advertising regulations. While players’ tops will be provided by the Organizers to the athletes, shorts/bottoms and accessories must be provided by the players and/or by their sponsors.

ACCREDITATION

Organizers will provide all Organizing Committee members, FIVB Officials, referees, athletes, VIPs, journalists, technical staff, court personnel, volunteers, etc. with an official accreditation card and will ensure that only people with appropriate accreditation will access the designated venue areas. Organizers are also requested to provide accreditation cards for one coach and one physiotherapist per team. INSURANCE Athletes must have their own liability and medical insurance.

MEDICAL CONTROLS The FIVB reserves the right to perform random medical controls on the participating athletes and alcohol tests on the officials, as per FIVB rules and regulations

APPENDIX Official invitation letter to be addressed to the participating FIVB officials and National Federations Confirmed Entry List (Main Draw, Qualification tournaments and teams in the Reserve) Travel Itinerary Form (BVB/31 and BVB/31b). Athletes are responsible to inform the organizer concerned about their travel itinerary.
