Session 1: ‘Safety from all angles’ Professor Euan Wallace: Euan is the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of Safer Care Victoria that was established in October 2016. He is a senior clinician with extensive track records in academic medicine and health service delivery. For the past 10 years Euan has been the Director of Obstetric Services, overseeing the growth of the Monash’s services to become Victoria’s largest maternity service and the home to one of two Victorian public homebirth program. He is widely regarded as one of ’s leading experts in clinical governance and in safety and quality in maternity services.

Greg Collette: Greg writes the BigDandMe, a blog about living with dialysis from the recipients’ viewpoint. Greg has been on dialysis for 22 years. During this time, he also ran his knowledge management consulting company, Wordware, for 23 years, and since 2009 has been joint founder-owner (with his wife Julie) of Smooth Hospital Move Pty Ltd, a hospital move consultancy. In 2015, Greg designed and directed the development of the d.Care dialysis management app, and was joint designer of the Diaverum Fistula Health training program. He is a regular speaker and participant in health and clinical conferences as a patient representative.

Liz Crowe: Liz is an advanced clinical social worker in paediatrics with a focus on critical care. She is currently doing a PhD examining staff wellbeing in PICU to inform interventions to build resilience and capacity for all health care staff. Liz is a passionate and humorous educator who regularly speaks nationally and internationally. She is the author of ‘ The Little Book of Loss and Grief You Can Read While You Cry” and is a proud member of the St Emlyn’s educators on #FOAMed.

Dr Diane Watson: Diane is the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Agency for Health Information. Her past experience includes time as CEO of the National Health Performance Authority and of the NSW Bureau of Health Information. She has 20 years of experience in leading organisational change.

Session 2: ‘Handle with care’ Dr Andrew Tagg is an emergency and retrieval physician, largely based at Western Health, with a special interest in medical education in paediatrics. He is one of the co-editors of www.dontforgetthebubbles.com, one of ACEM's five star recommended educational websites and is a section editor of the journal Emergency Medicine Australasia. He is convenor of the paediatric stream of the Social Media and Critical Care conference as well as a new acute paediatric conference in Brisbane later this year.

Associate Professor Simon Craig Simon is a paediatric emergency physician working at Monash Medical Centre and an Associate Professor at the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash University. His clinical and research interests include medical education, patient safety, diagnostic testing, procedural pain and distress, abdominal pain and asthma. He has been vice-chair of the PREDICT paediatric research network since 2014.

Dr Domenic R Cincotta MBBS FRACP Dominic is a Paediatric Allergy Specialist and Paediatric Emergency Physician working mainly at RCH. He is a member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology & Allergy, an Emergency Research Associate in Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and affiliated with The Department of Paediatrics at The University of Melbourne. Domenic sees anaphylaxis in both acute and non-acute settings. This experience has informed his provision of education and training in allergies for a wide range of clinical and community groups. Domenic’s goal is for all children to enjoy food as much as he does, through appropriate prevention, recognition and management of allergies and anaphylaxis.

Session 3: Evidence into action Associate Professor Diana Egerton-Warburton is an Emergency Physician with a passion for patient and community advocacy. She is chair of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine Public Health Committee. She is also Director of Emergency Medicine Research and Innovation at Monash Medical Centre and focuses on pragmatic patient centred research. She is an Associate Professor at the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash University and National Drug Research Institute at Curtin University. Additionally, she is a member of the Australian National Advisory Council on Alcohol and other Drugs .

Dr Celia Bagshaw Celia Bagshaw is an Emergency Physician at Austin Health and a Retrieval Physician with Adult Retrieval Victoria

Professor Anne-Maree Kelly -Anne-Maree is director of the emergency department at . An internationally recognised researcher and conference speaker, Anne-Maree is Director of the Joseph Epstein Centre for Emergency Medicine Research and Senior Clinical Advisor to the Emergency Care Clinical Network.

Workshop B Associate Professor Marie Gerdzt Marie Gerdzt is a Registered Nurse and academic working in the specialty of emergency nursing with extensive experience in senior clinical leadership roles in a number of tertiary hospitals. Marie holds an honorary appointment as Associate Professor (Nursing) at Melbourne Health, where she works on a program of research focusing on emergency access, resource allocation and clinical risk management. In late 2016 she was appointed to position of Head, Department of Nursing.
