The best value bid is an alternative combining First East Scotland Ltd’s existing Service 59 ( to ) which would provide a bus from Falkirk – FVRH – The Inches - – Carronshore – Letham – Dunmore - – – Fallin – Stirling – Callander. The best value bid (as per the tendered specification between Falkirk and Fallin) was from First East Scotland Ltd at a cost of £157,510. Alternatives were also received providing a service to Airth and Kincardine and not serving Dunmore, South Alloa, Throsk or Fallin. c Service 20 is currently operated under contract to Falkirk Council and has not been withdrawn. It has been retendered with a revised timetable to improve links to Limerigg following the withdrawal of commercial Service 17 journeys between Limerigg and . The current cost of the contract is £68,860. The additional cost of the new journeys is therefore £17,528. d tenders were issued to replace Service X19 and alternatively provide additional evening journeys on Service 45 between Bo’ness and Linlithgow to connect with bus/train services to/from Edinburgh. The existing service 45 is unchanged. e Service 40 is currently operated under Contract to Falkirk Council and has been withdrawn by First East Scotland Ltd. The current cost of the contract is £39,936. The additional cost of the replacement service is therefore £25,799.
