This browsing history can bring each entry to a new tab for quick access. Browser apps also allow you to manage a log with the ability to delete this search history for your privacy. Google Chrome registers your searches and displays the date and time on the story screen. The Chrome Menu button next to Omnibox includes story settings. The log shows searches in reverse chronological order, with the latest searches at the top and the oldest searches at the bottom. Each entry includes a 24-hour time, such as 7 p.m. at 7 p.m. The X button on each field allows you to remove this website from the story. The Clear Browsing Data button opens a checklist with preferred options, such as Clear Browsing History and Clear Autofill Data, to manage a registered search. The Mozilla Firefox app also registers your searches in reverse chronological order. When you hold the tablet in a horizontal position, clicking on the dark gray header angle next to the first tab extends the sidebar with the icon I'm at the bottom. Click on this I icon to display three tabs: Best sites, bookmarks, and history. Click History to view the magazine to search. The headlines section include today, yesterday, 7 days back and over 7 days. This Firefox History tab doesn't sort by exact date or time as the Google Chrome app does. Tapping and holding a website link brings up a pop-up. Choose one of these options: Open in a new tab, Share, Delete or Add to your home screen. Opera Mini provides an O menu icon in the navigation bar with a drop menu that includes the Story button. Click the Story icon to open the story window with the latest site at the top of the list. The Clear All button erases your web search. UC Browser includes the Menu button, displaying the bookmark/history icon in the overall tab sheet. Click bookmarks/history to open the next screen, and then tap the Story tab to open the search history. The Control button on the lower screen filters the recordings. For example, click the Control button and then click by date in the menu. Your searches appear in sections for today, yesterday and two days ago. The Clear button will remove the browsing history. Despite more restrictions than many years ago, Android is still a much more open platform than its competitors. You can still do almost anything you want within reason. There are many apps that are changing your experience. You can change your email app or launcher for different experiences. However, it's just stuff. There are a number of other entertaining ways Android device. Here are the best settings apps for Android! This list focuses heavily on changing or thematic elements of the user interface in particular. They both have extensive themed, decent features, gesture typing, and a host of other features. The experience is a little different between them. Gboard is a little easier with more basic features while SwiftKey is a little more energy-friendly for users. Either way, you use the keyboard a ton and you can make both of these look basically the way you want. This is a good place to start if setting up is your goal. Both apps are completely free without advertising. SwiftKey is used to charge for those, but not anymore. Energy Ring and Energy BarPrice: Free/Up $24.99Energy Ring and Energy Bar are two decent Android customization apps. Energy Bar puts the battery sensor at the top of the phone in the form of a bar that goes down like your battery does. Meanwhile, the Energy Ring option turns your camera hole kick into the battery sensor. It's a neat way to kind of lean on the whole hole kick thing while still giving yourself some functionality. Apps support most of Samsung's modern devices, and the overall Energy Ring app adds a few more. Everything else can be used by Energy Bar. Apps have different settings to make their own, and they seem to work very well without any funny battery drain. The price varies, but only because the developer works on an optional donation system. IFTTTPrice: FreeIFTTT is an exceptionally powerful app. You use it to automate different tasks. It works almost seamlessly between 600 different apps, including Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. You can have it do different things and there are a ton of ifTTT recipes on the internet. This app customizes the things your phone does, not how it looks. With all compatible apps and thousands of recipes, IFTTT does this probably better than any other app except can be Tasker. It's also completely free without in- app purchases or ads. KWGT, KLWP, KLCKPrice: Free/$5.99 (each) KWGT, KLWP, and KLCK will allow you the custom to do a bunch of things for your phone. Is a widget maker that allows you to add a bunch of information, skins and designs. KLWP is a live wallpaper maker that does basically the same as KWGT, but for wallpaper. Finally, KLCK allows for custom lock screen design. All three apps are cooler Medium learning curves, but you can also find pre-made themes on the Play Store and elsewhere in case you just want to take someone else's design. You can do a lot of seriously cool things with these apps if you don't want the time to learn them. RedditPrice: Free /$3.99 per month/$29.99 per year Reddit is a decent place for many Android settings. There are various subreddits dedicated to the task, including for popular customization apps like IFTTT and Tasker along with a common AndroidThemes subreddit with a bunch of neat home screen ideas. Most messages show you or tell you how to achieve a certain impact, which apps to download, and how to customize everything. There are icon packs, KWGT templates, wallpapers, and everything else that you can think of. It can get a bit confusing and there's a lot of information and a few idiots here and there, but overall it's a decent overall experience. We would also like to give an honorable mention of TruePick's (Google Play link), which does the same on a smaller scale. SharedrPrice: FreeSharedr is one of the most unique customization apps. This one deals with a hint that comes whenever you share something. These days, the hint shows a list of apps along with a random list of your favorite contacts. Sharedr brings order to the chaos. You can set up a hint to show only the apps you really want, and remove random contacts completely if you want. It takes a bit of work to set up. However, this app makes sharing things a lot easier once you put the time on setting it to your liking. It's also completely free without advertising or in-app purchases. Substratum or SynergyPrice: Free/VariesSubstratum and Synergy are themed frameworks for Android devices. They use OMS Android (Overlay Manager System) for your phone's theme. These are quite complex pieces of software. Both also work without roots on some devices. However, you get the best experience with both of them on Android Oreo with a root. There are a number of themes in the Google Play Store that work with these frameworks. Prices vary, but none of this is very expensive. These are both excellent customization apps, but if the push has come to poke, we recommend Substratum first if you have a modern Samsung device. Synergy is better for Samsung devices. TaskerPrice: $2.99Tasker is arguably the most powerful app in the entire Google Play Store. He can basically do anything. The app can automate tasks, create new actions, and do all kinds of other things. Seriously, we have limited space here and it's not nearly enough. Of course, with great force comes a great difficulty. Tasker not a simple app to use. In addition, there are many apps with direct Tasker support and a bunch of apps like AutoTools that add even more things it can do. Preparing to solve a steep steep Curve. The app goes for $2.99, but has no additional in-app purchases or advertisements. ProPrice Volume Control Panel: $1.49Volume Control Panel Pro is one of the few decent set-up apps for the volume bar. This allows you to switch between horizontal and vertical sliders, use the actual volume buttons to activate it, and even do neat things like control your media with double taps. In addition, you can change the colors and themes of it to match what you have going with the current theme. It's cheap and it worked very well in our testing.

If signing in for the first time (no other drive account is connected), type in the student’s GCPS gmail address. It is usually firstname.lastname####@g.gcpsk12.org (the numbers are the last 4 digits of their student number). Your child’s teacher can provide you with the correct gmail address. There is no password associated with the account. It is linked directly to their GCPS student portal. 2. Click next. 3. It should prompt you to log into the GCPS portal, where the student should enter their student number for both the user name and password. 4. Click ‘Sign In’ 5. It draws on research from a soon-to-be published ICLE white paper. (Comparison of Google and Apple’s smartphone business models. Red $ symbols represent money invested; Green $ symbols represent sources of revenue; Black lines show the extent of Google and Apple’s control over their respective platforms) For the third in my series of posts about the Google Android decision, I will delve into the theories of harm identified by the Commission. The big picture is that the Commission’s analysis was particularly one-sided. The Commission failed to adequately account for the complex business challenges that Google faced – such as monetizing the Android platform and shielding it from fragmentation. To make matters worse, its decision rests on dubious factual conclusions and extrapolations. The result is a highly unbalanced assessment that could ultimately hamstring Google and prevent it from effectively competing with its smartphone rivals, Apple in particular. 1. Tying without foreclosure The first theory of harm identified by the Commission concerned the tying of Google’s Search app with the Google Play app, and of Google’s Chrome app with both the Google Play and Google Search apps. Oversimplifying, Google required its OEMs to choose between either pre-installing a bundle of Google applications, or forgoing some of the most important ones (notably Google Play).
