to list There are several websites you can turn to for help in remembering your books for you, including our own library’s catalog, KOHA. If you log into Your Account on KOHA with your library card number and PIN, you can access Your Reading History. This shows a list of all of the books you have checked out of the library going back at least a year. The two most popular book-cataloging websites are Goodreads.com and LibraryThing.com, also available as apps for your smartphone or tablet. The site will bring up a picture of the book’s cover and all of the pertinent information about that book. You then simply add the book to your “Shelf” (Goodreads) or your “Collection” (LibraryThing) and give it a review, if you wish. As you add more books to your virtual collections, you can organize them by genre (“Science Fiction Shelf” or “Mysteries Collection”). On LibraryThing, you can add tags to help describe the book, such as “World War II fiction” or “Cozy mystery.” Both Goodreads and LibraryThing enable you to add Friends or Contacts, adding a social aspect to the process. Then you can see what your friends are reading and can give each other recommendations, read reviews and add comments. You can also form reading groups with other users. For a hands-on demonstration of either Goodreads or LibraryThing, feel free to ask one of our reference staff members at the Information Desk.
