Summerland Living

Summerland has the ’s most charming town centre, where small is considered a good thing. Our town has the region’s only historic steam railway, 2 cideries, 17 local wineries, and enough beaches to satisfy everyone.

Where “Take your Time,” is a reflection of our winding roads, rolling hills and the commu- nity’s general penchant not to rush things. Our community benefits from a spectacular cli- mate, with mild, short winters and hot, dry summers. With more than 2,000 hours of bright sunshine per year to enjoy, moderately hilly terrain and the unique soil properties provided by a volcanic past, Summerland's orchards and vine- yards enjoy some of the best growing conditions in the Okanagan. It also means that whether you’re an adrenaline junkie looking for a challenge, or a foodie looking for that next great wine pairing, Summerland has something new with each passing season.
