Piscataway High School Presents Legally Blonde

PISCATAWAY, NJ – The performing arts department at Piscataway High School will present a production of Legally Blonde, the musical, Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 26, 27, and 28 at 7 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee performance Saturday, Feb. 28.

Tickets are $10 for students and seniors (60+) and $12 general admission. Tickets can be reserved in advance by going to http://phs.booktix.com. They will also be available at the door.

Legally Blonde, the musical is based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film, starring Reese Witherspoon. Elle Woods, a sorority girl, follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard by enrolling in Harvard Law School in an effort to win him back. She realizes her true potential as a lawyer and successfully defends former sorority sister and exercise guru, Brooke Wyndham, in a murder trial.

The show is directed by Erik Hall, PHS English teacher, choreographed by Jessica Pantaliano, PHS Dance teacher and vocally directed by Megan Suozzo, PHS Chorus teacher and features a cast of 35 students. The cast is comprised of Dr. Christopher G. Sumner directs a 19 piece orchestra, comprised of 15 students and four professionals, one of whom is a recent PHS graduate.
