Ana Maria Achitei was featured in solo and recitals in her native Romania, and as a soloist in the Haydn C Major cello accompanied of the Univeristy of West - Conservatory orchestra (Timisoara, Romania). She was also a prizewinner in the National Cello Competition in Romania, 1994 and 1997.

In 1990 she began touring through Europe as a solo musician and as a member of the Banatul Philarmonic . She played in Germany (Hercules Hall - Munich), Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Holland, , Portugal, Italy. She was a member of Boca Symphonic Pops, Miami Symphony, and she currently plays with South West Florida Symphony. In 1998 she received a scholarship at Lynn University where she is completing her Bachelor of Music Performance degree in the studio of Canadian cellist Johanne Perron.
