1 2 Trim Castle Hotel is a historic landmark wedding location. Situated in Ireland’s ancient walled town of Trim, our appointed wedding suites and Rooftop Garden overlook the eponymous Anglo-Norman castle. Our Heritage
Although Trim’s history dates back to the fifth century, one of the largest and most impressive medieval castles in Ireland was built in 1172. The romantic ruins continue to dominate our skyline.
Alongside the long curtain walls, the River Boyne crosses the gentle and characteristic Boyne Valley in County Meath, bordered by a relaxing and idyllic walkway through woods and meadows. Our contemporary hotel offers a breathtaking vantage to admire Trim’s rich medieval inheritance, including both the castle - as featured in the movie Braveheart - and the soaring shard of the Yellow Steeple of St. Mary’s Abbey.

Our Celebration Suites include The Great Hall, The Castle View Suite, The Tower Suite and The Rooftop Garden. We can transform these versatile spaces into an intimate ceremony room or an impressive banqueting room with full bar and dancefloor.

40 minutes from Dublin Airport, Trim Castle Hotel is perfectly located for travelling guests. We offer 68 spacious and elegantly designed bedrooms and capacity to seat 350 dining guests.
The modern and traditional blend beautifully in our luxurious Celebration Suites, all boasting exceptional views of Trim’s heritage sites. We also offer a countryside wedding ‘alfresco’, with the exclusive use of our Rooftop Garden for a glamorous ceremony or drinks reception.

We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships in the hotel. The Tower Suite, The Castle View Suite, the Rooftop Garden or The Great Hall (divided) can be transformed into beautiful ceremonial spaces. Our Wedding Team will help you define your vision and fine tune the details to create a dream wedding that, in memory, will forever bind together all your friends and family.
Saint Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church with its resplendent gardens is a short walk away from Trim Castle Hotel. Designed by William Hague and built in 1900, this Gothic Revival style church boasts remarkable carved detailing, a pointed arch and rose stained glass windows that depict Trim’s legendary history. Marriage services in the church are subject to availability and agreement of the Church and legal qualification.

The elegant Tower Suite is located on our first floor. As with all our Celebration Suites, guests can view the prestigious Trim Castle. Take your own unique love story and craft The Tower Suite into a heartfelt, personalised ceremony room.

THE CASTLE VIEW SUITE
The Castle View Suite has capacity for up to 80 seated guests and 300 standing. This is an ideal pre-reception space or ceremony room for a small wedding. With large windows overlooking the dramatic views of Trim Castle and the rolling lawns of St. Patrick’s Church, this luxurious room sets the scene for a magical celebration with quintessential charm.

The Great Hall is our full-service banquet hall for a gala wedding reception. Following a dramatic refurbishment, this flexible space is ideal for hosting an exquisite dining experience.
With glittering chandeliers and a refined decor that lends warmth and light to your special event, the room features a private bar and open-air balcony space with exceptional views of Trim Castle.
We want to celebrate the simple pleasures of delicious food by creating a dining experience of sheer indulgence. Using local, ingredients from Ireland’s newest culinary Boyne Valley region of Meath and Louth and homemade elements, our Head Chef has prepared exceptionally good Irish grown wedding menus - limited only by the season.
13 14 15 16 Trim has some of the most dramatic wedding photography locations. It takes its name, Átha Troim - ‘Ford of the elder tree’ - from its position at a crossing point of the River Boyne, some twenty miles inland from the Irish Sea. To Remember
