Originally developed as a trio concert for the Australian Piano Pedagogy Conference, Songs from the Great South Land is Mark Simeon Ferguson’s tribute to the great pop and rock songs of . For one night only the concept explodes adding the might of staff Lyndon Gray and Dustan Cox and the thrilling voices of the Adelaide Connection to trio. Works by Nick Cave, Silverchair, John Farnham, Icehouse and Kylie will be re-imagined through jazz eyes in an exploration of the sounds of Australia.
