sample-setting process to determine which companies are asked to respond to the disclosure request. CDP aims to cover the biggest global companies by market capitalization (market cap), given this information is most relevant to investors. This is primarily based on companies included in selected market cap indexes, but companies may also be requested where they are deemed to have considerable environmental impact. Where the number of companies listed in the index or stock exchange is larger than the CDP sample size, the largest companies by market cap are selected. We base the sample on financial data available in the final quarter of the previous calendar year. Please contact [email protected] with any queries related to this list. Page 4 of 123 @cdp | www.cdp.net CDP Climate Change 2019 List of companies requested by investors to complete the climate change questionnaire in 2019 Selection for inclusion varies between samples, but will either be based on an index or stock exchange. Where the number of companies listed in the index or stock exchange is larger than the CDP sample size, the largest companies by market capitalization are selected. Our efforts yielded a profit of €75m. Attractive asset portfolio Over the year, our portfolio grew by 80,600 sq m owing to the development of new properties in both the office and retail segments. We currently own five large-scale shopping malls across the region. We put a lot of efforts into enhancing the performance of our retail assets. • Cairn Energy Update
Cairn Energy Update Producer, developer, explorer Oil & gas 24 July 2017 We refresh our view on Cairn Energy, focusing on key areas of interest for investors already familiar with the company. We examine a number of Price 174.7p valuation approaches for SNE in Senegal, the potential for reserve Market cap £1019m upgrades and exploration value. We believe SNE is an outsized asset and £0.8/US$ assume Cairn seeks to farm-down. This will naturally affect long-term Net cash ($m) at 31 December 2016 335 value upside, but would in our view drive a better balance of asset and Shares in issue 583.2m financial risk. We also examine features of Catcher, Cairn’s cost of capital and look at the Indian tax dispute. After a long period of value stagnation Free float 96% (as cash was invested to develop Catcher/Kraken), coming years could be Code CNE a time when investors see a path to this investment steadily bearing fruit. • Investment Property in the Financial Statements of Capital Groups Listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange
ISSN 2411-9571 (Print) European Journal of Economics Jan-Apr 2016 ISSN 2411-4073 (online) and Business Studies Vol.4 Nr. 1 Investment Property in the Financial Statements of Capital Groups Listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange Piotr Prewysz-Kwinto WSB University in Torun, Department of Finance and Accounting Poland, ppqq@poczta. onet. pl Grażyna Voss University of Technology and Life Sciences, Faculty of Management, Bydgoszcz, Poland, gvoss@wp. pl Abstract In recent years, investing in property has become very popular. It is related to a significant decrease in interest rates, which has resulted in a decrease in interest rates on bank deposits and risk-free securities. What is more, this kind of investment seems to be less risky than investing in shares or raw materials due to a steady increase in property prices in Poland in the recent years. Investment property owned by an entity conducting business activity must be properly presented in financial statements, which is next reflected in the evaluation of financial position. Recognition, measurement and presentation of investment property in financial statements have been comprehensively prescribed in International Accounting Standard 40 – Investment Property, which was released in December 2003. It was first applied to financial statements prepared for the reporting period starting after January 1, 2005. The standard was revised twice – first in 2008 and then in 2013. The aim of this paper is to describe the recognition, measurement and disclosure of investment property under polish and international accounting regulations as well as to analyze the presentation of such information in financial statements of the largest companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
