Build/Release Engineer Location: Phoenix Compensation: Up to $85,000 annually + benefits JOB SUMMARY: The Technology Services Division of the ASRS is seeking an individual to manage the build process and release coordination. The Build/Release Engineer needs to be a highly motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment completing specific tasks in a timely manner without significant guidance.

Description of duties:  Responsible for builds, deployment plans, and release activities.  Administer the source code repository (SVN/), continuous build implementation (Bamboo), code review tool (), source code UI (Fisheye), as well as our static code analysis tools (Nexus and Sonar).  Create and execute build plans and deploy artifacts for specified products in various environments.  Advocate new tools and processes to continuously improve build and source control efficiency.  Troubleshoot problems related to builds, deployment of artifacts, or environment configuration.  Manage Windows/Linux servers to maintain and deploy the builds for various environments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:  Systems (Subversion-SVN, Mercurial, , CVS)  Continuous Integration (Bamboo, , BuildHive, CruiseControl, Hudson)  Java Build Process Tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle)  Understands source code branching strategy and patterns

Preferred Knowledge/ Skills:  Fisheye/Crucible, Bamboo, JIRA, Crowd, JIRA Agile  Configuration Management Tool (Puppet)  Scripting Language familiarity (PERL, Groovy, PowerShell)  Understands Networking Basics (Domains, Users, Groups, Shares, etc)  Windows/Linux Server Management

Preferred Education/Experience:  Associate’s degree in related area (Computer Science, Engineering, or related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  2+ years Build/Release experience, application engineering and/or IT work experience
