Some of the most important cities were Byblos and Tyre, they were both the capitals of the Phoenicians. Byblos was the capital from 1200BC-1000BC. Also was a Mediterranean city in the Mount Lebanon Governote of present day Lebanon under the current name of Jubayl. Tyre was also capital from 1000BC-333BC, this city was the legendary birthplace of Europa and Elissa.
