Paul Reeder Jr. founded Metropolitan Restoration Service, Inc. in 1999 as a result of his life long passion for antique cars. When Paul started MRS, his primary goals were to provide an outstanding inventory of top quality Metropolitan parts and to oversee the overall positive growth of the Metropolitan business. In 2018 we split into two businesses - Metropolitan Parts, Inc & Metropolitan Restoration Service, Inc. One doing the mail order parts business and one handling our restorations. Paul has now retired from his full time position in both businesses but will still stop by from time to time. Paul has been a long time antique car owner with his first car being a 1956 Metropolitan Hard Top donated to him Paul’s Metro 2003 - Detroit, MI in 1970. Paul has owned many classic cars, a 1956 Met- ropolitan Hard Top, a 1954 NKI Metropolitan Convertible, a 1958 Edsel 2-Door Hard Top, and a 1995 Mustang GT Convertible. His 1956 Metropolitan won a silver Concours medal in 2003. The parts staff at Metropolitan Parts is well versed in all the Metropolitan parts that you may need. He was born the runt of the litter and was very sick when he was born with water on the brain, and the vet was not sure he would make it and was in favor of putting him to sleep as the problems were so major. Jon’s ex wife Jess worked at a local vets office, took pity on him and they were willing to rescue him. He spent most of his time at the facility and often was in the office as a buddy. When he came to us, he was 8 weeks & only weighed 4 lbs.
