FY 2017 Recreational Grant Awards by County

Ada County-$ 19,022 • City of Eagle will receive $19,022 from the Mountain Bike Program Fund for the storage building at the Ada/Eagle Sports Complex.

Adams County-$ 238,128 • Adams County will receive $238,128 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for site furniture, road access, parking pads, parking and utilities at the Wye Campground.

Bannock County-$373,928 • Bannock County Specialized Emergency Response Team will receive $19,488 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund to purchase a trailer to be used countywide. • Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $5,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund to install a well house at Curlew Campground. • Bureau of Land Management – Pocatello will receive $54,740 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund to install a vault toilet, construct campsites and parking at Goodenough Creek Campground. • Portneuf Soil and Water Conservation District will receive $100,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund to repair the water trails at the City of Lava Hot Springs. • Pocatello Cross Country Ski Foundation will receive $1,700 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for a snowmobile trailer at Mink Creek Nordic Center. • Portneuf Greenway Foundation will receive $193,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the construction of a trail at Monte Vista Overpass/ Farm Bureau of Idaho.

Bear Lake County-$218,184 • Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $14,100 from the Motorbike Program Fund for the construction of a bridge at Fern Creek/Montpelier. • IDPR – Bear Lake State Park will receive $136,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the upgrade of the electrical services at East Beach Campground. • Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $9,771 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for a vault toilet at the Summit View Campground. • Bear Lake County Sheriff’s Office will receive $58,313 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for a patrol boat to be used countywide.

Benewah County-$ 448,000 • IDPR – Heyburn State Park will receive $320,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for campground renovations at the Chatcolet Campground. • IDPR – Heyburn State Park will receive $128,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the restroom remodel at Hawley’s Landing.

Bingham County-$93,695 • Bingham County Sheriff’s Office will receive $20,615 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for a patrol boat to be used countywide. • Aberdeen Gem Trail Foundation Inc. will receive $73,080 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the construction and paving of the Powerline Road Trail.

Blaine County-$ 183,684 • Sawtooth National Forest will receive $29,960 from the Motorbike Program Fund for the realignment of the Oregon Gulch Trail. • Sawtooth National Forest will receive $47,580 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for two trailheads, kiosks, and two restrooms at the Deer Creek and North Fork Trailheads. • Sawtooth National Forest will receive $35,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for a bridge and rehabilitation of the road at the Chemeketan Campground. • Sawtooth National Forest will receive $71,144 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for trail maintenance at Big Wood River Valley.

Boise County-$ 77,650 • Boise County Job Creation/Retention Council will receive $2,000 from the Mountain Bike Program Fund for trail maintenance, signage and gate in the Garden Valley area. • Boise National Forest will receive $25,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for trail brushing and signs in the Idaho City Area. • Boise National Forest will receive $50,650 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for improvements at the Tie Creek Campground.

Bonner County-$ 672,890 • Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $30,000 from the Cutthroat License Plate Fund for the construction of a raft slide at Priest River. • Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $46,100 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for trail construction at Lakeview Kalispell Trail. • IDPR – Priest Lake State Park will receive $40,752 from the Road and Bridge Fund for road improvements at Priest Lake. • Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $282,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for improvements at the Reeder Bay Campground. • Bonner County Parks & Waterways will receive $80,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the channel restoration at Priest Lake. • Bonner County Parks & Waterways will receive $14,800 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the extension of mooring buoys at Lake Pen Oreille. • Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $30,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the barge engine replacement at Kalispell Bay/ Priest Lake. • Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $44,968 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for a warming hut at Moose Creek. • Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $16,045 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the replacement of the trail bridge at the Moose Lake Trail. • Bonner County Parks and Waterways will receive $88,225 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for a tow vehicle to be used in Bonner and Boundary County.

Bonneville County-$ 260,733.40 • Bonneville County Parks and Recreation will receive $25,374 from the Road and Bridge Fund for asphalt maintenance at Blacktail Park/ Juniper Park. • Bonneville County Parks and Recreation will receive $10,187.98 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the purchase of two mowers at Juniper Campground. • Bonneville County Parks and Recreation will receive $29,543 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the replacement of the water storage tank at the Juniper Campground. • Bonneville County Parks and Recreation will receive $11,595.42 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the seal coat of pathways and the road at the Juniper Campground. • Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $14,200 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for campground entrance signs in the Palisades Road area. • Bonneville County Parks & Recreation will receive $130,733 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for a new launch site at Blacktail Park. • City of Idaho Falls Parks & Recreation will receive $22,100 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for a restroom at Noise Park. • Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $17,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the replacement of the bridge at West Pine Creek.

Boundary County-$ 201,910 • Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $34,400 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for trail reconstruction at Deer Ridge Trail/ Bonners Ferry. • Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $31,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for trail reconstruction at Deer Ridge-Buckhorn Trail. • Boundary County will receive $90,000 from the Road and Bridge Fund for the removal and replacement of the bridge at Snow Creek/Bonners Ferry. • Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $46,510 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for trail reconstruction at Buck Mountain – Slate Ridge Trail.

Camas County-$ 406,039 • Sawtooth National Forest will receive $406,039 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for furniture and a water system at the Baumgartner Campground.

Canyon County-$ 8,400 • Southwest Idaho Resource, Conservation & Development will receive $8,400 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for a host shelter at Martin Landing.

Caribou County-$ 5,500 • Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $5,500 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the realignment for the Coyote Creek Trail.

Cassia County-$ 269,000 • Sawtooth National Forest will receive $125,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for water system improvements at Upper Rock Creek. • IDPR – Castle Rocks State Park will receive $144,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund to chip seal the road and spurs at the Smoky Mountain Campground.

Clark County-$ 26,900 • Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $26,900 from the Motorbike Program Fund for the construction of the bridge at the Webber Creek Trail.

Clearwater County-$ 53,606 • Weippe Fraser Recreation District will receive $9,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for dust abatement at the Deyo Reservoir Campgrounds. • Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office will receive $27,986 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for a new motor and outdrive to be used countywide. • Clearwater Soil and Water Conservation District will receive $16,620 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the repairs to the bridge at the Little Bay Trail.

Custer County-$15,000 • Salmon-Challis National Forest will receive $15,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for trail repairs at Challis-Yankee Fork Ranger District.

Elmore County-$ 32,000 • IDPR – Three Island Crossing State Park will receive $32,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the restroom and shower building water system at Wagon Wheel Campground.

Fremont County-$ 476,739 • Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $32,150 from the Road and Bridge Fund to replace the stream crossing at the Cave Falls Road. • Bureau of Land Management will receive $105,992 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for shelters at Egin Lakes Campground. • Fremont County Parks and Recreation will receive $22,133 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for boat docks at Island Park Reservoir. • IDPR – Henry’s Lake State Park will receive $62,500 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for a vault toilet and grinder fish cleaning station at Henry’s Lake/ Island Park. • Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $30,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the installation of a vault toilet at West End Boat Launch. • Fremont County Parks and Recreation will receive $3,964 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for signs. • IDPR –Snowmobile Program will receive $220,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the purchase of a groomer in Fremont County.

Idaho County-$ 29,107 • Payette National Forest will receive $10,374 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund to replace the restroom at the Clayburn Saddle Trailhead. • Payette National Forest will receive $10,374 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the replacement of the restroom at Clayburn Saddle. • Framing Our Community will receive $4,839 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the restroom access route at the Elk City, North-South Trailhead. • High Mountain Trail Machine Association will receive $3,520 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for trail equipment at Slate Creek Ranger District.

Jefferson County-$128,528 • Jefferson County will receive $128,528 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for campground improvements at Jefferson County Lake.

Kootenai County-$ 2,722,125 • North Idaho Fair Board will receive $342,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the construction of an RV campground at the fairgrounds. • IDPR – Farragut State Park will receive $2,100,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the Phase II of the Gilmore Campground. • Kootenai County Parks & Waterways will receive $185,695 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the replacement of the dock at Hauser Lake. • City of Coeur d’Alene Parks Department will receive $94,430 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for a water trail and launch at 10th Street.

Latah County-$ 628,896 • Latah County Parks will receive $36,625 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for RV improvements at Moose Creek Reservoir. • City of Potlatch will receive $178,842 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for RV park renovations at the Scenic 6 RV Park. • Latah County Parks will receive $23,553 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for improvements at Robinson RV Park. • Latah County Parks will receive $289,278 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the construction of an RV area at Spring Valley. • City of Genesee will receive $73,690 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the Phase II RV Park fencing, irrigation and planting. • Latah County will receive $26,908 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for a trailhead restroom at Phillips Farm Park Trailhead.

Lemhi County-$ 187,642 • Salmon-Challis National Forest will receive $45,642 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for campground upgrades at Wallace Lake. • Salmon-Challis National Forest will receive $50,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund to improve the launch at Corn Creek. • Salmon-Challis National Forest, Cobalt Ranger District will receive $92,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for heavy trail restoration at the Camas Middle Fork Trail #6044.

Madison County-$ 68,580.50 • Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $24,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund to construct bridges at Fish Creek. • Idaho Department of Fish & Game will receive $24,580.50 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for a new boating access and launch site at South Fork/ Teton River. • Madison County Snow Grooming District 33 will receive $20,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund to purchase a tractor, trailer and fuel trailers to be used countywide.

Nez Perce County-$ 20,000 • Nez Perce County will receive $20,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund to dredge the entrance jetty at Hells Gate Marina.

Owyhee County-$ 119,995 • Owyhee County Sheriff’s Office will receive $46,518 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for a patrol boat to be used countywide. • City of Marsing will receive $73,477 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the boat launch ramp and dock relocation at Marsing Island Park.

Power County-$ 348,373 • City of American Falls will receive $250,170 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the paving and improvements of the Willow Bay Campground. • Bureau of Land Management – Pocatello will receive $44,703 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the replacement of boat docks and vault toilet at Pipeline Recreation Site/ American Falls. • Mt. Harrison Snowmobile Club will receive $53,500 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for a warming shelter and restroom at Sublet.

Shoshone County-$124,590 • St. Joe Ranger District will receive $67,590 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for trail maintenance at Simmons/ Fly Creek. • Bureau of Land Management will receive $48,800 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for a pump house at the Huckleberry Campground. • Bureau of Land Management will receive $8,200 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for a sewage holding tank at the Huckleberry Campground.

Teton County-$ 379,945 • Bureau of Land Management will receive $85,220 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the renovation of the power grid at the Huckleberry Campground. • Teton County will receive $220,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the property acquisition on the Teton River. • Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $39,325 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the construction of a bridge at Horseshoe Creek. • Teton County will receive $15,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the installation of a vault toilet at Horseshoe Canyon. • Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $20,400 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for repairs of the Northern Big Hole Trail.

Twin Falls County- $ 238,615 • Twin Falls County will receive $199,890 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for a ten unit campground with electric and water at Murtaugh Lake. • Twin Falls County will receive $38,725 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for mooring docks at Murtaugh Lake.

Valley County-$ 354,615 • City of McCall will receive $11,994 from the Mountain Bike Program Fund for the construction of a mountain bike skills park. • Boise National Forest will receive $9,920 from the Mountain Bike Program Fund for the maintenance of the Wewukiye Trail • Payette National Forest will receive $25,062 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for avalanche forecasts, education and weather stations. • Valley County will receive $46,730 from the Road and Bridge Fund for the purchase of land at the Clear Creek Trailhead. • City of McCall will receive $17,866 from the Road and Bridge Fund for parking access and road to Riverfront Park. • Valley County will receive $20,157 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for picnic tables, firepots, and signs at Wellington Snow Park. • Boise National Forest will receive $123,041 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the asphalting of the road at Warm Lake Recreation Area. • IDPR – Lake Cascade State Park will receive $50,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for parking, a pathway and boardwalk at Crown Point. • Valley County Sheriff’s Office will receive $12,750 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for two personal watercrafts and a trailer to be used countywide. • Selway Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation will receive $22,095 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for repairs at Marble Creek Trail. • Payette Lakes Ski Club will receive $15,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the mobile warming hut at Bear Basin Nordic Area.

Washington County-$ 54,771 • Friends of Weiser River Trail will receive $26,971 from the Recreational Trail Program Fund for a double unit flush restroom in Midvale. • Friends of Weiser River Trail Inc. will receive $27,800 from the Recreational Trail Program Fund for repairs to the riverbank and trail at Grizzly Creek.
