Highlighted Projects: Nissan: Designed a three part, high-end, standalone audio display to fit in with Nissan’s existing automotive showroom displays. Directed the prototype development and the manufacturing of over 1500 units.

Chicken of the Sea: Given the design project of creating generic packaging for Albacore tuna that had been repackaged in oil, I identified a niche market in Italian delis that used Chunk Albacore Tuna for specific antipastos. I created packaging with an Italian chef on the front and antipasto recipes on the back of the label. The product sold very exceptionally well in the Italian delis and was used for several years.

Joico: Designed and built a series of 7 foot tall product displays for a hair salons and beauty supply retailers. More than 8000 displays were placed in stores in the US and Europe over a period of three years.

BigHeart Slide Company: Created one-style-fits-all plastic clamshell packaging for a wide selection of guitar slides. It’s unique features include a specific graphic insert for each slide style and a “Finger Sizing” hole also used as the peghole for wall hanging displays in Page 1 of 2 music stores. The design has been instrumental in the sales of over 200,000 BigHeart guitar slides in the US, Europe and Australia . Luther Tatum Design- Full service POS design and manufacturing company. Designed, engineered and directed production of displays, 200 North Vintage Lane merchandising and promotional programs for , , Anaheim, CA 92805 Sebastian International, PAI, Frontier and Aura Cacia Natural Products, 714-349-1928 Joico Laboratories, Taco Bell, and others. Designed corporate identity programs, wrote advertising copy, designed and engineered 714-547-1974 permanent merchandising systems for several design industry clients Fax 714-502-9365 including LA Displays, Displays+ and Image Partners. Wrote copy for Lexicon Branding, providing names for new companies and products. [email protected] The BigHeart Slide Company- Manufacturer and marketer of world- renowned guitar slides. As founder of the company, I conceptualized, designed and produced this internationally distributed retail and product line. The slides have received recognition as among the best in the world by several national music magazines and critics, and continue to be offered at music retailers across the world and on the internet. We won the competition initiated by the Robert Johnson Foundation to create a Robert Johnson Legacy slide. After providing the winning design, BigHeart Slide was chosen to manufacture the cast bronze slides, as well as design the Foundation’s corporate identity for both public concert use and educational charity programs.

1984 to 1988: Senior Account Executive for Wilshire Design Group- a Collateral and Promotional Program company. Responsible for the initial contact and securing of new accounts, which included Nissan, , Honda, and Pioneer Electronics. I also handled several existing design clients including National Coach and Fleetwood. I assessed and managed long-term and individual programs, directed design, copy and production teams, presented creative solutions and interacted with client creative and management groups.

1980-1984: Art Director for Trenmark- a signage and POP display company. Designed and engineered display systems for both retail products and retail interiors. Clients included Yamaha, Tomy Toys, Honda Motors and St. Ives Laboratories.

1978-1980: Freelance Graphic Designer. Designed and wrote copy for print ads, packaging, brochures, direct mail programs, posters, signage and trade show booths. Clients included the Dirt Doctor, Village Art Gallery, Paramount Lawn Products, Chicken of the Sea, Saddleback Valley Plaza and The City shopping center.
