As a veteran who suffered at the hands of the enemy and is one of the few living survivors of the Bataan Death March, we owe him a debt of gratitude for placing his life on the line to keep our country safe. Our theme this year for the 2016 Fiestas de Taos falls under the auspices of Bridging Our Community: Connecting the Past with the Present, creating a Legacy: Conectando el Pasado con el Presente, Creandoun Legado. Who more appropriate than the honorable Tony Reyna, through his life’s work, his legacy, at a young 100 years, to exemplify the true meaning of these words. He is a man of wisdom and as has been said many a time before, respected universally by all. The Taos Fiesta Council takes great pride in naming the honorable Tony Reyna, Honoree of the 2016. She was involved in the Don Fernando Yearbook, Ski Club and Computer Animation and Multimedia classes. She participates in the Xtreme Martial Arts (XMA) and has earned a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo. Angelica enjoys reading and traveling. Angelica’s passion lied in dancing and coaching the Mini and Youth Mystic Dance team. She is also an active member of the Lucky 7’s 4-H Club, where she raises livestock and participates in various shooting sports.
