Season in Review: The 2008-2009 Broncos accomplished their sport’s single-greatest season in school history when they reached the NCAA Division II Championship game against top-ranked and unbeaten University of Findlay in the community where the sport was invented – Springfield, Mass. And the unranked Broncos took the heavily-favored Oilers into overtime and eventually lost on an off-balance, three-pointer at the buzzer, 56- 53, before a nationally-televised audience of millions on CBS. Led by All-American senior Larry Gordon, the Broncos earned the third seed in the NCAA Tournament’s West Region. PG Dahir Nasser dealt a career-high 8 They faced conference rival Cal State San Bernardino in the opening round played at the assists vs. No. 4 Augusta State in the sub-regional in Bellingham, Wash., on the campus of Western Washington University.
