We have a great line-up of bird literature for you this month. For birdwatchers we have The Birds of the Falkland Islands: An Annotated Checklist (part of the former BOU checklist series), The Birder's Guide to Africa (August), The Birds of Colonsay and Oronsay: An Island Avifauna and Bird Atlas, and a 2nd edition of A Naturalist's Guide to the Birds of Australia (November). Both collectors and curators will be interested in Atlas of Feathers for Western Palearctic Birds (Passerines) - Concise Edition (December), which is the first of a two-part publication. Other titles to do with conservation are The Last Flight of the Ancient Guide of Hajj: Northern Bald Ibis – The Most Threatened Bird of the Middle East and Christopher Helm's Birds New to Science: 50 Years of Avian Discoveries (January).
