Proposed puffin upgrade to Toucan Crossing on Gatley Road at Gately Station. Path upgrades to cater for cyclists between Gatley 5 Gatley Cycle Scheme Station and the South Park Estate which then links into the A34 Cycle Scheme. Footpath upgrade within Willian Scholes playing CCAG1 Funded £250,000 Construct 15/16 .September 2015 Mark James fields to link both residential areas either side of the railway line.

Traffic-free (off carriageway) link between St Mary's Way and Warren St, including one crossing upgrade and a new toucan 6 Newbridge Lane 250 Cycle Scheme CCAG1 Funded Construct 15/16 Georgina Summers crossing. Will connect with TCAP schemes to provide high level of network connectivity

This scheme has provided a shared use pedestrain cycle path from Mill Lane to the Manchester boundary. The scheme links the 8 Manchester Road Cycle Scheme CCAG1 Funded Under Construction .September 2015 Mark James scheme at Warren Avenue to the Trans Pennine Trail and included a new Toucan Crossing on Manchester Road. The scheme

Enhancements of Trans Pennine Trail, providing simpler and more legible alignment. There has been a history of the over-complex 9 Mersey Valley Paths Cycle Scheme CCAG1 Funded Construct 15/16 Don Naylor nature of traffic-free links in this corridor having too many strands and discontinuities for ease of use.

A number of schemes to provide links to Cheadle Hulme District Centre. No firm proposals yet and funding just granted but should 10 Chealde Hulme Cycle Scheme provide a cycle link from Warren Avenue in Cheadle to Cheadle Hulme and a link from Green Roundabout. The existing Puffin crossing is to be upgraded to provide a Toucan crossing with associated footways / cycleways linking Royal Highway capacity & safety improvement and George St and Blackshaw Street. In this scheme Booth Street will be returned to two way working in order to reduce congestion at 18 Package 0527 201-205 Town Centre Access Plan PHASE 1 FUNDED part of wider scheme Construct 2015 - 2017 Sally Laws sustainable access Greek Street roundabout. A cycle route will be provided to link the path to Moscow Rd East to Newton Street. Three 20mph areas will be created.

Provide a cycle gate or No Entry 'Except Cycles' at Chetergate's junction with the Underbanks area. At the roundabout it is proposed to introduce footway / cycleways around the roundabout with Toucan crossing facilities over King Crossings at roundabout and new access to Street West and Great Egerton Street. A footway / cycle way will be provided along the north side of Heaton Lane along with a new 21 Heaton Lane & Great Egerton St 0527 304 Town Centre Access Plan PHASE 1 FUNDED part of wider scheme Construct 15/16 Sally Laws car park pedestrian / cycle refuge. A footway / cycleway will be provided on the south side between the refuge and the Heaton Lane roundabout.

The existing through route on Station Road will be severed and a new taxi rank, bus stop and service area provided on a loop road 22 Exchange 0527 305 Phase 2 Public Realm adjacent to Station entrance on Station Road. A cycle route will be maintained including improved cycle parking. An area of high Town Centre Access Plan PHASE 1 FUNDED part of wider scheme Construct 2015 - 2017 Nick Whelan quality public realm will be created in front of the station bounded by new development including landscaped areas.

The scheme requires the removal of through traffic from Bridgefield Street which, along with Princes St, Woodman St and Brown St Great Egerton St, A6 Right turn, Bridgefield St will form a new pedestrianised area with only cycle and limited service vehicle access controlled by rising bollards. The existing 23 Redrock 0527 401 Town Centre Access Plan PHASE 1 FUNDED part of wider scheme Construct 2015 - 2017 Sally Laws & Princes St puffin crossing on Great Egerton St will be upgraded to a Toucan crossing. A cycle hub is being provided to the east of little Egerton St..

A Toucan crossing will be proved between the new junction and Myrtle St with footway / cycleways to access it from Stockport Road 26 Gorsey Bank 0527 503/504 Access junction, spine road Town Centre Access Plan PHASE 1 FUNDED part of wider scheme Construct 2015 - 2017 Sally Laws and Brinksway.

The existing pedestrian crossing of Wood St is to be upgraded to allow cycle use to link Hardman Street across Wood Street. This 27 Wood St 0527 505 Toucan Crossing Town Centre Access Plan PHASE 1 FUNDED £102k Construct 2015 Sally Laws will improve cycle access from Edgeley to the Trans Pennine Trail route along Chestergate.

This project provides walking and cycling routes to the proposed Gorsey Bank industrial development. A new pedestrian and cycle 28 Gorsey Bank 0527 506 Pedestrian and cycle access works route is constructed along the Mersey between Gorsey Bank Road and Swythamley Road. A further link will connect to Hoylake Town Centre Access Plan PHASE 1 FUNDED £311k Sally Laws Road.

Two way segregated cycleway and improved footway / cyclway on George's Road. Improved pedestrian/cycle path through Park to footbridge over M60. Includes higher protective barrier on bridge (parapet) and weather protection on M60 bridge and improved surfacing /lighting on paths through Heaton Norris Park. Widen 33 Town Centre / M60 0527-901/902 Improved ped / cycle crossings of M60 Town Centre Access Plan PHASE 2 BID £940k Consult 15/16 Georgina Summers existing Trans Pennine Trail route between Penny Lane and the Tame Bridge. Improve protective barriers on bridge (parapets) and lighting on Tame Bridge. Refurbish the subway to Howard Street under the M60. Improved signage and public realm.

A new Toucan pedestrian and cycle crossing will be provided near the junction with Wharf Street and linking footway / cycleways provided on the east side of Lancashire Hill. Improvements will be provided to the subways at Lancashire Hill roundabout including Toucan crossings, junction imprivements and 34 Lancashire Hill / Belmont Way 0527 903/904/905 provision of CCTV. The scheme will provide a new Toucan pedestrian and cycle crossing near the junction with Belmont Street.
