ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION NOTICE 2017 The annual subscription was set by the Club’s Annual General Meeting in November 2016 and must be paid BY 31 JANUARY 2017. Subscription levels have increased to reflect an increase in ongoing costs. Failure to pay membership may result in your child not being registered with SASA which would mean they would not be insured and would not be allowed to take part in competitions. Please complete the details on the attached form and return, together with the appropriate subscription amount, to the Membership Secretary at the above address. Please write the member’s name and squad on the back of the cheque. Alternatively, email the form advising how payment is made to [email protected]. Notes: 1. The membership fee helps to meet general administration costs such as the Club’s Newsletter, Club Notices, Administration Costs and the costs of the AGM. The Club also enlists all members as members of SASA and the East District. Membership of SASA insures the individual; all competitors and all volunteers MUST be members of SASA, as they must be insured to participate – the Club does not insure its members. 2. If both parents are likely to volunteer to help then they should take out a second adult membership at no additional cost but a SASA membership form must be completed. 3. A child swimmer is defined as under the age of 16 at the end of the year of membership. A child member is not entitled to vote at general meetings. Adults are defined as aged 17 and over. 4. Family membership entitles parent members to voting rights at general meetings. 5. Student members must be registered on a course at a higher education establishment and provide their matriculation number and a letter of proof of their student status. 6. No lapsed member may participate in any activities of the club or for the club in competitions until the subscription has been paid. 7. By our constitution, details of those admitted to membership will be held on computer(s). Such personal data shall be disclosed only within the club or to the Scottish Amateur Swimming Association (SASA). 8. Members joining after June will be offered a deduction in annual member’s fees at the discretion of the Management Committee. The parental element of the membership will not be reduced. 9. The volunteer opt-out levy is an optional gift amount to those members who do not wish to assist as a volunteer in the Club.

Warrender is a private club run by its members for its members and as such we rely on volunteers for the majority of our activities. Volunteering is a rewarding experience, benefiting both the Club and the individual. You must be a member to enable you to volunteer. We pay for any training required such as timekeeping and judging courses.

However, from time to time, additional specialist skills are required for various essential tasks (e.g. Legal, accounting, communications and media, computing, event planning, web master, first aid, etc). It would help the club immensely if members or parents with specialist skills could assist with certain tasks. Please list any specialist skill you have:
