The Magrath 4H Beef Club held their annual awards night banquet on Friday, Oct. 24th at the United Church. A delicious roast beef supper with all the trimmings was prepared by the 4H mothers. Funeral «Services for the late Ralph Habey Harker were held in the Magrath L.D.8. Chapel on Wednesday, October 22nd with Bishop Tyler Alston Officiating. Prelude and Postlude Music was by Vinessa Hamilton, Family Prayer Burns Harker. Hymn; ’’The Lord Is My Hhepherd”- Choir; Invocation - Ray Harker; Biography - Iola Harker; Holo - L.B. Tanner accompanied by Vinessa Hamilton; Speaker - Doug Harker; Duet - Eldon Coleman and Howard Fletcher; Benediction - Lloyd Habey; Graveside Prayer - William Wocknitz. Pallbearers were; Ves Habey, Dick Habey, Blair Habey, Blaine Harker, Dean Harker & Lee Harker. Interment followed in the Magrath Cemetery.

A lovely wedding was solemnized in the Alberta Temple, Cardston, on October 11 when Barbara Peterson, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Clifford Peterson of Lethbridge and Brian Johnson, son of Mr. & Mrs. Don Johnson of Magrath were united in marriage by President Elmo Fletcher. A large number of friends and relatives were in attendance. The bridge looked lovely in a white satin gown with train. She chose as'her attendants for the day Sherri Pratt as Maid of honor with bridesmaids ’andra Knight, Carma Johnson, Carol Johnson and MarilynPeterson. Susan Romeril, sister of the bride attended the guest register. Best man was Jim ^cott with groomsmen Paul Coleman Fred Romeril, Jeff Peterson and Rod Peterson. Seventy five family members and friends gathered at the Magrath Cultural hall for a delicious turkey dinner with Mr. St Mrs. Don Johnson as hosts. The hall was beautifully decorated in fall colors.

Following the dinner Rod Peterson acted as master of ceremonies for the following program: Piano Solo - Marilyn Peterson; Clarinet duet - Carma and Carol Johnson accompanied by Beverly Harris; Musical - Cousins of the Bride; • Trio - The Bride and her 2 sisters Sherri St Cusan; Two delightful readings were given by Shirley (Johnson) Perry. The tribute to the Bride was given by P.obert Jensen with the groom responding. . A calling reception was held at the 10th Ave. L.D.'". Chapel Lethbridge that same evening with Bishop and Mrs. Robert Fraser and Mr. St Mrs. Robert Jensen welcoming themany guests who called to offer congratulations to the newlyweds. Barbara and Brian left on a honeymoon to points in the United states before making their home in Lethbridge where both are employed. . .

Chlora Ida Balderson Passed away on October 23rd at the age of 78 years. Prede­ ceased by her husband, Bruce in 1973 she is survived by a daughter, Gladys Margaret Balderson of Calgary; two sons, Bruce Stuart of Lethbridge and Allan William of , and 7 grandchildren. Mrs. Balderson formerly of Magrath lived at Okotoks, and passed away in Calgary after a brief illness. Private family funeral services were held at Snodgrass Funeral Home, on Monday, October 27th with Rev. J.C. Gardiner officiating. Interment followed in Mountain Memorial Gardens, Calgary.

Mr. St Mrs. Fel Balderson, Mr. St Mrs. Ken Balderson and Mr. Forrest Balderson attended the funeral of the late Mrs. Chlora Balderson, at High River on Monday.
