Question: Meeting with Unihockey Federation

Report on Mr. Juha Mikkola and Johanna Kytölä visited the IFF office on the 9th of present issues August to inform about the present situation in Ontario and . Mr. Mikkola informed on the about the status of the Canada Cup (12 teams participating in 2005) and the co-operation with the local BallHockey federation. The plans for 2006 is to have 24 teams participating.

Mr. Mikkola also drew the picture of Floorball in Canada being mostly located in the following provinces: Alberta, Ontario and . And that based on the situation generally in Canada, these provinces work very much inside due to the vast distances in the country.

Mr. Mikkola informed that there are some issues related to the co-operation between the different provinces and the Canadian Association (CUFF) I informed the OFUF on the present IFF development programme and explained the process for a national federation to participate in this programme. Mr. Mikkola found this very interesting and promised to take this up with the CUFF.

I also gave all possible material available and gave contacts to Mr. Mikkola in order to find more materials. I explained to the OFUF the principles of how IFF operates towards National federations and urged the OFUF to co-operate more closely with the CUFF.

Upcoming Canada and the US are vital, so that all parties within Canada as well as in the meetings and US are bought jointly together. issues The IFF needs to secure that all active Floorball parties in Canada are brought together to discuss the development of Floorball in Canada. We also need follow-up the development programme process, since there has been other interest shown from Canada towards the programme.
