A house suffered roof damage near this location. A small agriculture building was blown around a larger agricultural machine shed and destroyed. The larger machine shed suffered some roof damage. Trees and a child's play set were also damaged. Tree damage was reported south of 1200 North between 300 East and 400 East. Some small agricultural buildings were destroyed south of 1300 North, just east of 400 East. Severe thunderstorms developed over central Illinois during the evening hours of June 4th and moved northeast across eastern Illinois during the early morning hours of June 5th. Some of the evening thunderstorms produced wall clouds and funnel clouds but only one tornado was confirmed. Severe thunderstorms developed across northwest Illinois shortly after sunrise and quickly moved across far northern Illinois during the mid morning hours. Wind gusts between 45 and 50 mph were common with a few locations reaching near 60 mph. A gust to 58 mph was measured at the Rochelle Airport. A two foot diameter tree was blown down onto a house in Deerfield in Lake County. A tree was blown down onto a house in Mendota in LaSalle County with minor damage reported. Many tree limbs and power lines were blown down across DeKalb County. The tornado remained in an open field and no damage or injuries were reported.
