Development & Release History [ edit | edit source ] Announced in 2008 and initially only released in Japan, the game quickly grew in popularity due to its extensive storyline and professional artwork. Few games in the size community have since grown to such notoriety except perhaps ResizeMe . The game reached Western audiences long before its translation into English in 2011 by dsojourn (see Giantess City Forum Article link below), but with this translation the game saw a massive explosion in popularity. 2012 saw the latest release, v.1.44, and since then the game has been considered complete with a small, dedicated fan base continuing to discuss it today. The game did see an official sequel titled Shrink 'High Gaiden Hanpane Island , an English translation of that produced in 2015, again by dsojourn. The sequel follows Chijinda on an investigation at a girls' boarding school where, like Yabaize, numerous disappearances have aroused attention. The game requires the RPG Maker VX runtime package to be installed separately [7] and for the file RGSS202E.dll to be pasted into the game's folder [8] . Reception [ edit | edit source ] As mentioned previously, the game has received almost universal acclaim throughout the size community and has been hailed as one of the greatest size fetish games ever made. Commonly referenced reasons for this include Manzi SS and Hakuto's artwork which is now iconic, and a simple but compelling story that is several hours in length. As of summer, 2007, the Averatec battery could not be charged. (The battery light would blink very intermittently.) This site gives instructions for disassembling and re-soldering. I will keep this message here a little longer for those with older kernels. After I had upgraded to the 2.6.12 kernel, the Synaptics touchpad now occasionally freezes. (Don't know if this happens with later kernels.) Tracing comments on the web, I found I had to add append="i8042.nomux" to a stanza in lilo.conf, due to a bug in the i8042 device. Turetzky1 The majority of DVDs sold in the United States are protected by the Content Scramble System (CSS). Any firm wishing to use it, either to encrypt their content or to decrypt encrypted content, must first obtain a license from the DVD Copy Control Association (DVD-CCA). Because of CSS’s prevalence, the DVD-CCA has an extraordinary amount of market power. Copyright based challenges to the DVD-CCA’s practices have been largely unsuccessful despite CSS’s well known ineffectiveness at stopping individuals with little technical sophistication from ripping CSS-encrypted DVDs. Indeed, programs that can circumvent CSS, like DeCSS, are widely available on the internet. With its impotence shrouded in the color of law, CSS remains the prevailing form of encryption of DVD content. These practices should be challenged under the Sherman Act, the cornerstone of federal antitrust law. Such challenges, like the recent one made in RealNetworks, Inc. v. DVD Copy Control Association, have been unsuccessful. Given the prevalence of DVDs, it is surprising that the association’s CSS license agreement has escaped a full-scale rule of reason review. This is especially concerning in light of the agreement’s effect on the market for devices like video servers, digital video recorders, and backup programs like RealDVD. This comment concludes that the DVD-CCA’s implementation of CSS, the prevailing method of DVD copy protection in the United States, is an anticompetitive restraint of trade in violation of section 1 of the Sherman Act.
