The large golden stupa in Vientiane is believed to enshrine a breast bone of the Buddha. The Pha That Luang Stupa pagoda also known as That Luang is officially named Pha Chedi Lokajulamani, Patuxai which translates to “World Precious Sacred Stupa”. Wat Si Saket Patuxai - It forms the centrepiece of Patuxai Park, and is dedicated to the Laos Wat Si Muang who were killed in the fight to gain independence from France, as well as from the nation’s earlier occupiers, Siam and Japan. VIENTIANE b Wat Si Saket - located in Vientiane is famous for its cloister wall housing D2 NAM NGUM LAKE b thousands of tiny Buddha images and rows with hundreds of seated Buddhas. These tourist visas are valid for 30 days. Note that a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required to enter Laos, if arriving within six days of leaving or transiting through an infected area.
