Frequently Asked Questions

IS THERE A DEPOSIT? A $50 non refundable deposit fee is required to reserve your event date, which will be deducted off your total price. Paying a deposit guarantees your date and time slot.

WHAT FORM OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT? We have several payment options such as Venmo, Cash App and Google Pay. We also accept PayPal if you'd like to pay with a major credit card (Visa, American Express and Discover).

DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENTS FROM ANYONE ELSE BOOKED? No. As the bride you pay all deposits and final balances, and it is your responsibility to garner payment from your bridal party. For gratuity, day-of add-ons like lashes and extensions, stylists can accept cash, Venmo, Cash App, and Google Pay payments from the bridesmaids.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO HANDLE GRATUITY? As you would for any salon service, it is suggested that you tip your artists at least 18-20% of your service fees for both trial and wedding day services. For gratuity, stylists can accept cash, Venmo, Cash App, and Google Pay payments on the day of the booked appointment. You may also pre tip when you pay your final balance.

SHOULD I DO A HAIR AND MAKEUP TRIAL? Doing a trial allows you to feel at ease on your wedding day. This is because by doing a trial, you are able to build a rapport with the hair and makeup artist and test out the styles for your wedding day. You can finalize your look and know that on the wedding day there will be no surprises and you and the hair and makeup artist will be on the same page. This is the time when the bride can share her vision and her hair and makeup preferences, so that you feel 100% confident on your big day. You want to make the most of your hair and makeup trial. Doing a trial often saves you stress on the day of, but again it’s up to you and what you are most comfortable with. If you can’t do a trial or decide not to, just make sure that you send inspiration photos to us so we have an idea of what you are going for.

BOOKING A TRIAL: Booking a trial does NOT guarantee that your wedding date is reserved. Putting a deposit for your wedding day is the only way to book and reserve that date just for you. Bookings are reserved on a first come, first served basis.

WHERE DOES THE TRIAL RUN TAKE PLACE & HOW LONG DOES IT TYPICALLY TAKE? Trial runs take place at our studio located in St. Cloud. We can also travel to you for a trial, a travel fee may be required depending on the distance. Trials typically take about two hours, to ensure your wants and needs are met. Hair only or makeup only trials take about one hour.

WILL THE STYLIST WHO DOES MY TRIAL BE THE STYLIST WHO DOES MY WEDDING DAY? The stylist(s) who completes your trial will also be the stylist on the day of your wedding. However, in case of emergencies or other conflicts, you may receive a different stylist. We take lots of photos and careful notes and records of your hair and makeup look so the stylist can replicate the look completed during your trial in the case of a stylist switch. Keep in the mind that we only replace your stylist under extreme circumstances.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AIRBRUSH & TRADITIONAL MAKEUP? “Traditional” makeup is the process of custom mixing and using brushes and other tools to apply the products. Traditional makeup is the easiest way to control the amount of coverage for your special skin needs. When you think “traditional,” think liquid, cream and powder foundations. Airbrush makeup is applied using a “gun”, which breaks down the makeup into small particles and shoots it out using compressed air. Airbrush makeup is good for those who want light coverage to medium coverage. It is a great option for summer brides when heat and humidity are high. It is not recommended for clients with dry skin.

DO YOU TRAVEL? Yes, we travel for all services booked. There is a travel fee that starts at $25. (Based on your location)

DO YOU HAVE A SALON? Yes! We have a small studio located in the owner of Lipsey , Jenny Lipsey’s home used for trials. The studio is located in St. Cloud.

IS THERE A MINIMUM SERVICE AMOUNT TO BOOK? No. Our team is equipped and ready to handle from small to large bridal parties.

HOW LONG DOES HAIR AND MAKEUP TAKE ON THE WEDDING DAY? The average bridal party requires four-six hours with you and your party. For smaller parties your team may not need that much time. Each party is unique!

WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE? We carry a wide range of different brands from MAC Cosmetics, Tarte, Too Faced, Dior, Temptu, Smashbox, , Anastasia Beverly Hills, Makeup Forever, Fenti, Laura Geller, NYX, and Bobbi Brown, to Tatcha.

DO YOU PROVIDE ALL THE PRODUCTS? Yes. The only thing you need to bring is your beautiful smile, and any hair accessories you’d like to add.

DO YOU OFFER TOUCH-UPS BEFORE THE CEREMONY? Every makeup service booked will receive one disposable lip wand with your color choice, and one sponge with blot powder for touch ups. We also provide a personal artist service where an artist can stay to continue touch ups throughout your photos and wedding.
