Fui y vi como el problema de las drogas esa incrementando y afectando a toda nuestra comunidad. Conocí a un abogado que ahora vive en las calles, jóvenes menos de 20 años de edad prostituyéndose, familias vagabundas, y mu - chos “hospitalillos”. La obra de estas organi - zaciones se debe aplaudir y reconocer más en los medios noticiosos. Tengo que mencionar que también la prensa en los E.U. debería de hacer algo al respecto y educar a nuestras co - munidades de organizaciones que hacen este trabajo localmente. Organizaciones como La Perla del Gran Precio, Iniciativa Comunitaria, La Posita de Jesús, y otras más hacen un tra - bajo que se debe reconocer en PR. La política en PR se debería reconocer como un deporte olímpico. La gente habla de este “deporte” todos los días. Creo que se habla más que de peleas de boxeo; la gente habla de sus filosofías políticas, de sus can - didatos, del futuro político de PR, y demás. Además, se habla de los políticos malgas - tando dinero sin enfocarse en las necesidades de nuestro pueblo.
