Note: 1. Riders can only win points with their best horse/performance at one event, rider must have obtained a qualification result at the event 2. In case of equality of ranking points, the best placed rider is the competitor with the lowest total of penalty points at the specific event (*= differentiating score) 3. If a rider is awarded points in several events, the best score will count as differential. The top ten riders of each HSBC FEI Classics event collect points as follows:

Prize Money: HSBC is offering US$ 1 million on a 3 year basis (2008/2009/2010) to the most successful riders of the new HSBC FEI Classics series. This represents the biggest prize award in the sport of on an annual basis. At the end of each season, the five riders with the highest number of points collected among the HSBC FEI Classics events (Lexington, Badminton, Luhmühlen, Burghley and Pau) will be awarded prize money as follows: Series Champion: 1st place: US$ 150,000; 2nd place: US$ 75,000; 3rd place: US$ 50,000; 4th place: US$ 33,000; 5th place: US$ 25.000.
