Petite Sirah Petite Sirah is not a small grape nor is it a . It is a dark colored, full-bodied grape varietal. Although sometimes found in blends, the unique micro-climate and soil conditions at Allora are ideal for growing Petite Sirah.

Vintage: 2015 Notes: Problem free harvest that produced clean, healthy grapes resulting in high-quality despite the drought and a very small crop with a little uneven ripening. Picking ended in October. Blend: 97% Petite Sirah, 3%

Vintage: 2014 Harvest Notes: A dream vintage, with high quality throughout. Drought conditions and small crop size did prove to be minor irritants. Everything was ready to pick in mid- August. Tasting Notes: The aromas of this unique are of wild currants and raisins resonating with hints of pepper. It is a remarkable balance of intense dark and a memorable finish. Blend: 95% Petite Sirah, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage: 2013 Harvest Notes: An ideal growing season with dry conditions and a long, sunny summer. Despite being a drought year it is worthy to be called superior. Tasting Notes: This wine displays flavors of wild anise and currant with subtle hints of black pepper. It is outstanding because of its intense inky color and juicy, bold finish Blend: 89% Petite Sirah, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage: 2012 Harvest Notes: An ideal season with no frosts, a mild spring and summer and a tranquil fall. We are elated by the quality and quantity of the 2012 harvest. There is a level of excellence that supersedes past , going back decades. Tasting Notes: A visual spectacle of rich, exuberant black fruit. Hints of peel, smoke, mint and licorice add depth in abundance. This Petite Sirah is loaded with personality. Blend: 90% Petite Sirah, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage: 2011 Harvest Notes: A cold, wet spring, a late fruit set, a mild summer and a harvest that dragged on into November, bedeviled by rain. We were able to salvage the season by picking the entire in one day. Tasting Notes: A dark and color yield to aromas of currant, cedar, sweet cherry pie, black licorice and tobacco, ending with a bold and round texture and a bright, long finish. Blend: 100% Petite Sirah

Vintage: 2010 Harvest Notes: The growing season began cool and wet and delayed harvest drastically. A late August heat wave sent the temperatures from the mid-70s to 110. Careful observance was a must! Tasting Notes: This peppery wine has aromas of dried figs and hints of blackberries and coffee. It pairs well with grilled meats, BBQ, and spiced dishes. Blend: 80% Petite Sirah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage: 2009 Harvest Notes: Things went fairly smoothly and grapes were picked at optimal ripening levels, capping a summer of mild, steady weather. We were excited about the young wine's color, flavor, acids and tannins. Tasting Notes: This Petite Sirah is a deep and spicy wine with lots of layers. It is dark and rich and pairs well with Lamb and chili. Blend: 97% Petite Sirah, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage: 2008 Harvest Notes: Drought preceded a hard frost, which led to an uneven set and a small crop, but after that it was smooth sailing ending in great relief. Tasting Notes: Layer upon layer of complexity and richness with an almost-black color reveals a deep, intriguing nature. It ages incredibly well while being deliciously drinkable now. Blend: 86% Petite Sirah, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage: 2007 Harvest Notes: Cold winter grew into warmer spring bringing early budding, bloom and set in the vineyards. A heat spike boosted the sugar development that complemented the excellent acid structures. Tasting Notes: Plums, wild cherries, olives, grilled herbs, scorched earth, licorice and new leather jump from the glass. This is a powerful rich wine, both polished and subtle. Vintage: 2006 Harvest Notes: One of the top vintages of the decade but not one where "the wines make themselves." A cool, wet spring led to slow ripening while heat spikes in July caused worry of sunburn resulting in an expensive farming year. Tasting Notes: Powerful vivid blueberry and blackberry notes at the core. Espresso, mesquite, graphite, spice box and gingerbread flavors are an intriguing combination, finishing smoothly. Blend: 90% Petite Sirah, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage: 2005 Harvest Notes: Predictions abounded that it could be one of Napa's finest vintages. Cool weather prevailed and harvest came very late but was nearly perfect. Extended hang time allowed for great flavor and bountiful harvest. Tasting Notes: Fragrant violet, mineral and licorice notes are full of personality, with full-bodied tannins and smoky espresso. Dark and rich, with flavors that persist through the finish. Blend: 97% Petite Sirah, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage: 2004 Harvest Notes: Short and sweet summarizes the 2004 vintage. The harvest was early, the crop was small and the grapes ripened well. Tasting Notes: Deep and ruby red in color welcoming a seductive blend of blackberry, licorice and cloves to entice the palate. Graceful yet powerful, supported by fresh acidity. Blend: 95% Petite Sirah, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage: 2002 Harvest Notes: A long ideal growing season with warm days and cool to even cold nights yielding a balanced crop with intense and concentrated fruit flavors. Tasting Notes: Rich flavors of black fruit, ripe plum, black tea, the wine has a voluptuous body while spice continues through the long, drawn-out finish.
