Melanie Roche Player number # 147 229 games for Australia

Melanie Roche is one of only four Australian sports people in history to win a medal at four consecutive Olympic Games, she earned 229 caps with the Australian women’s national team over her 20-year international career.

She played in four Women’s World Championships, winning two bronze (1994 and 2006) and one silver medal (1998). A feared pitcher, including a 0.00 ERA at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Melanie was named best pitcher at 12 national championships. She was inducted into the Australia Hall of Fame in 2012.

Melanie was a member of the New South Wales Open Women’s team from 1986 – 2011, winning 12 National Championships.
