Huawei Raya 2021 – “Stay Connected” Campaign Faq HUAWEI RAYA 2021 – “STAY CONNECTED” CAMPAIGN FAQ 1. What is the “Huawei Raya 2021 “Stay Connected” Campaign”? The Huawei Raya 2021 – “Stay Connected” campaign (“Campaign”) is organized by Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“Huawei”). The Campaign consists of the events as detailed in Section 2 below. This Campaign will commence from 1st May 2021, 12:00AM (GMT+8) to 31st May 2021, 11:59PM (GMT+8) (“Campaign Period”). Huawei reserves the rights to shorten or extend the Campaign Period at any time without notice to Customer. 2. Who can participate in this “Huawei Raya 2021 “Stay Connected” Campaign”? This Campaign is open to all individuals who are residents in Malaysia, and aged 18 years old and above as of 1st May 2021 (“Customer(s)”). Employees of Huawei, their immediate families, Huawei’s dealers, partners, advertising, creative and public relations agencies, program organizer, their employees and immediate families is not eligible to participate in this Campaign. 3. How to participate in the Discount Promo of this Campaign? During the Campaign Period, Customer will be able to purchase the selected Huawei Products set out in paragraph 3.3 below from a participating HUAWEI Experience Stores , HUAWEI authorized dealers, HUAWEI Operator Store or HUAWEI Online Official Store (https://shop.HUAWEI.com/my) (“Eligible Customer”) at their respective Discounted Price (“DP Event”): - Huawei Product(s) Discounted Price Huawei Mate 40 Pro RM3,999 Huawei Matepad T10s RM899 Huawei Y7a RM699 Huawei Freebuds Pro RM631 Huawei Watch Fit RM431 4. Eligible Participants who completed all steps set out below within the Campaign Period will win one (1) Guess the Song Mystery Gift (“GS Gift”): a. Visit a participating HUAWEI Experience store within the Campaign Period; b. Listen to 5 songs using the HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i according to Huawei representative’s instructions; and c. Correctly guess the name of 3 different songs. 7. How to participate in the FreeBuds 4i Lucky Draw Event? Customer who purchase a (1) unit of HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i from a participating HUAWEI Brand Store, HUAWEI authorized dealers, HUAWEI Operator Store, or HUAWEI Online Official Store (https://shop.huawei.com/my) (“Eligible Customer”) from 1st May – 30th May (“LD Period 1”)is entitled to submit an entry for the FreeBuds 4i Lucky Draw 1 (“LD Event”) To submit an entry for the LD Event, Eligible Customer must complete all the following steps within LD Period: - a. Login to https://freebuds4iraya2021.com (“Campaign Site”); b. Answer one simple question on Campaign Site; c. Insert the serial number of the HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i purchased on Campaign Site; d. Insert all latest and accurate personal details of Eligible Customer required on Campaign Site; e. Attach an image of the proof of purchase of HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i, i.e purchase receipt to the Campaign Site; and f. Click “Submit” to submit an entry for the LD Event on Campaign Site. 8. Test Report on Terminal Compatibility of Huawei's WLAN Products 1 Overview WLAN technology defined in IEEE 802.11 is gaining wide popularity today. WLAN access can replace wired access as the last-mile access solution in scenarios such as public hotspot, home broadband access, and enterprise wireless offices. Compared with other wireless technologies, WLAN is easier to operate and provides higher bandwidth with lower costs, fully meeting user requirements for high-speed wireless broadband services. Wi-Fi terminals are major carriers of WLAN technology and play an essential part in WLAN technology promotion and application. Mature terminal products available on the market cover finance, healthcare, education, transportation, energy, and retail industries. On the basis of WLAN technology, the terminals derive their unique authentication behaviors and implementation methods, for example, using different operating systems. Difference in Wi-Fi chips used by the terminals presents a big challenge to terminal compatibility of Huawei's WLAN products. Figure 1-1 Various WLAN terminals To identify access behaviors and implementation methods of various WLAN terminals and validate Huawei WLAN products' compatibility with the latest mainstream terminals used in various industries, Huawei WLAN product test team carried out a survey on mainstream terminals available on market. Based on the survey result, the team used technologies and methods specific to the WLAN field to test performance indicators of Huawei's WLAN products, including the access capability, authentication and encryption, roaming, protocol, and terminal identification.

    Huawei's New Smartwatch Abandons Wear OS Summary On 16 October 2018, Huawei held a major event in London centred on the launch of its Mate 20 series smartphones. Here we examine the wearable devices also announced at the event. Insight ▪ At the launch event in London, Huawei revealed its latest flagship smartwatch, the Watch GT. It features the proprietary LiteOS operating system, rather than Google's Wear OS. ▪ Huawei also unveiled the Band 3 Pro as the company continues to focus on the fitness-tracking category of wearables. Analysis Huawei Watch GT During a launch event focussed on new Mate 20 series smartphones, Huawei unveiled its latest smartwatch, called the Watch GT (see Figure 1). It comes almost two years after the Huawei Watch 2 was launched in Barcelona (see Mobile World Congress 2017: Wearables). Most notable of the new watch's features was Huawei's decision against using Wear OS, which ran on its previous two generations of smartwatches. Figure 1. Huawei Watch GT Sport and Watch GT Classic Source: Huawei The Watch GT runs LiteOS, Huawei's own operating system for small connected devices. LiteOS is open source, and Huawei claims to be collaborating with its LiteOS partners to help build "a better ecosystem" for the Internet of things. LiteOS has been previously used by Huawei in its fitness watches and trackers. Powering the Watch GT is a custom chipset developed in-house and based on Arm's Cortex-M4 design. It contrasts with the Qualcomm Snapdragon processors found in previous Huawei smartwatches. The silicon features a "double chipset" architecture; a high-power processor performs computing-intensive tasks and a lesser one handles tasks such as the always-on display.
