2.9 Huawei Watch_What is Zirconia? Zirconia is a high quality, durable, hard, and optically clear synthetic crystalline substance. It is a man-made diamond-like material and usually colorless, but can be produced in a variety of different colors. Zirconia was first produced in a laboratory in the 1970s, where scientists discovered its great potential for the jewelry industry.

2.10 Huawei Watch_What is Swarovski Zirconia? Although Swarovski is renowned for precision-cut crystal, the company has been cutting genuine gemstones and created stones for many decades. In 1976, Swarovski started to cut zirconia, being the first company on the market to offer a machine-cut exponent of this synthetic stone. Ever since, Swarovski Zirconia has been known as the most precisely cut zirconia on the market, available in a wide variety of exquisite shapes, sizes, and colors.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 2 Appearance&Shell&Accessories

2.11 Huawei Watch_What makes Swarovski Zirconia so special? Across the globe, the name Swarovski is synonymous with the art of precision cutting. The company is also famous for its revolutionary zirconia cut: the Pure Brilliance cut. For the first time in history, Swarovski managed to cut zirconia that was as brilliant as diamonds. By strictly adhering to the exacting standards for grading diamond cut quality from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the world's foremost authority on diamonds, Swarovski was able to develop a cut to rival the Tolkowsky diamond—the most brilliant diamond cut in the world. This makes the Pure Brilliance Swarovski Zirconia the most diamond-like Zirconia that is available on the market today. It is exclusively cut by Swarovski in Austria and complies with the country's high social and environmental manufacturing standards.

2.12 Huawei Watch_Is Swarovski Zirconia a synthetic diamond? Swarovski Zirconia is not a synthetic diamond, but it is commonly known as a diamond imitation. The difference between the two lies in their chemical properties. Synthetic diamonds are an exact replication of natural diamonds, except that they are created in a laboratory instead of being mined. Diamond imitations, on the other hand, are materials that visually resemble natural diamonds but do not necessarily share the same chemical characteristics, such as genuine gemstones like topaz or rock crystal, or created stones like Swarovski Zirconia or Swarovski Crystal.

2.13 Huawei Watch_How does Swarovski Zirconia compare to diamonds? Pure Brilliance Swarovski Zirconia is the most diamond-like Zirconia on the market—an excellent diamond imitation for use in jewelry. The two materials share a great number of similarities and are very difficult to distinguish from one another. The very high refractive index and perfect cut of Swarovski Zirconia imitate the brilliance and fire of the purest diamonds. However, diamonds are naturally occurring gemstones, whereas Swarovski Zirconia is made in a laboratory. Diamonds are the hardest minerals that exist with a hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale. Swarovski Zirconia is still very hard, reaching a rating of 8.5. In jewelry, Swarovski Zirconia is used in rings, necklaces, pendants, earrings, and bracelets and is often set in precious metals, just like natural diamonds. Swarovski Zirconia is also used in other industries, including eyewear, consumer electronics, and writing instruments.

2.14 Huawei Watch_Doesn't Swarovski only cut crystals? The Swarovski brand stands for more than crystals. It represents the mastery of light and cutting technology, creative innovation, and above all, tradition. These values also apply to

Huawei Proprietary and Confidential 11 Copyright © Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 2 Appearance&Shell&Accessories

the Swarovski Gemstones Business, Swarovski's unit for genuine gemstones and created stones.

2.15 Huawei Watch_How does Swarovski Zirconia compare to Swarovski Crystal? Swarovski Zirconia and Swarovski Crystal are both exquisite materials that have inspired a countless number of jewelry makers to create stunning designs. However, as there are various differences between the two, they are used for different purposes and cater to different needs. Swarovski Zirconia is very hard, heat resistant, and refracts light just like a diamond. These characteristics make it the most popular diamond imitation. It is almost always set in gold or silver and mostly used for bridge jewelry, watches, eyewear, and lifestyle electronics. Swarovski Crystal, on the other hand, is softer and less refractive and therefore different application techniques are used. It is a very popular material for costume jewelry and fashion and adds a glamorous sparkle to any design.

2.16 Huawei Watch_What is topaz? Topaz is a genuine gemstone that is generally found as a naturally clear, white stone. Topaz is a durable gemstone with good resistance to daily wear and tear, and a hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale.

2.17 Huawei Watch_Why should I choose jewelry that has been set with topaz? Natural: Topaz is a genuine gemstone with all the properties of a natural material. In addition, Swarovski's color palette is crafted with the use of Thermo Color Fusion (TCF™), an environmentally friendly process. Beauty: The new Natural Brilliance cut for Swarovski Genuine Topaz has 57 facets, which maximize the brilliance of each gemstone and bring out the best in any jewelry. Brand: With more than 100 years of experience in cutting and polishing stones, Swarovski guarantees quality, reliability, competence, and creativity. The strength of the Swarovski brand can be found within each of our products.

2.18 What makes Swarovski Genuine Topaz with the Natural Brilliance cut so special? Our new Natural Brilliance cut gives Swarovski Genuine Topaz more brilliance and fire than any other standard topaz cuts currently available on the market.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 2 Appearance&Shell&Accessories

Another special feature of Swarovski Genuine Topaz is its environmentally-friendly coloring process, Thermo Color Fusion (TCF™), a special process which does not involve radiation treatment. TCF™ enables an array of exciting colors without causing damage to the stone or posing a health threat. TCF™ is a specially patented heat treatment which offers supreme color consistency and contains no radiation. It enables an enhancement and transformation of the White Pure Brilliance Zirconia, providing an array of fashionable colors that offer exciting possibilities for contemporary designs.

2.19 Huawei Watch_Why does topaz need to be treated? What is the environmentally friendly coloring process? Natural topaz is generally found as a clear white stone, and therefore needs to be treated in order to create different colors. The color enhancement of gemstones is a common practice in the industry, and not just for topaz. However, some processes are detrimental to the environment. The Thermo Color Fusion (TCF™) treatment is an innovative and environmentally-friendly surface enhancement process that is patented both in Austria and the United States. Offering a much wider variety of colors than the traditional radiation treatment, TCF™ has proven to be permanent, without affecting the quality of the gemstones.

2.20 Huawei Watch_How can I be sure that the watch I purchased is set with Swarovski Genuine Topaz? The special "Made with SWAROVSKI GEMSTONES" tag identifies products created and crafted by a selected partner of Swarovski and assures you that you are buying an authentic, high-quality product set with Swarovski Genuine Topaz.

Huawei Proprietary and Confidential 15 Copyright © Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 3 Connection and Paring

Your watch Wi-Fi function is only designed to be used when the Bluetooth connection is interrupted. Using Wi-Fi drains the battery faster.

When your watch is properly paired with a phone via Bluetooth and the phone is successfully connected to a Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi network connection will be synchronized to your watch. When your watch disconnects from the phone, your watch can access the Internet using the same Wi-Fi network.

3.7 Huawei Watch_How can I connect my watch to a new Wi-Fi network? Swipe left on the watch's home screen, go to Settings > Wi-Fi settings, touch Add network > Open on phone, and enter the Wi-Fi password on your phone.

When connecting to a new Wi-Fi network, ensure that your watch remains connected to your phone via Bluetooth.

3.8 Huawei Watch_Can I use the watch when it is not paired with my phone over Bluetooth? After your watch disconnects from your phone, you can still use the watch's alarm, timer, and stopwatch and use it to record exercise data. If you connect your watch to a Wi-Fi network, you will also be able to use phone-dependent features, such as message and call notifications and voice interaction.

3.9 Huawei Watch_Why does pairing take so long? When pairing, the Android Wear app uses Bluetooth to sync data from watch-compatible apps on your phone to the watch. The sync duration depends on the number of apps on your phone and the quality of the Bluetooth connection. Bluetooth transfers may take some time to complete.

Please do not use your phone while it is syncing as this may interrupt the process.

3.10 Huawei Watch_Which Wi-Fi security methods does the watch support and how safe are they? The watch supports the following Wi-Fi security methods: 0 - SECURITY_NONE 1 - SECURITY_WEP 2 - SECURITY_PSK

Huawei Proprietary and Confidential 16 Copyright © Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 3 Connection and Paring

The above security methods have all been tested and certified by Google and are safe to use.

3.11 Huawei Watch_Why do Android phones take so long to reconnect to the watch when Bluetooth disconnects?

The icon indicates that the watch has disconnected from your phone. Follow the steps below if the Bluetooth connection fails to be re-established automatically:

 If you are using the watch with a Huawei phone, ensure that the Android Wear app has been added to the protected apps list. Check whether any phone or power management apps are restricting Bluetooth access. If you are using a Huawei phone, add the Android Wear app to the list of protected apps and the Doze whitelist as follows.

Android Add to protected app list Add to Doze whitelist version Android 5.0 Select Phone Manager > Power N/A saving > Protected apps and select the Android Wear app. Android 6.0 Select Phone Manager > Select Settings > Apps > Battery manager > Protected Advanced > Ignore battery apps and select the Android optimizations and add the app to Wear app. the whitelist.

 Your phone will automatically reconnect to your phone when the Android Wear app is open. If the Android Wear app continues to display the Connecting... status message in the

upper left corner, touch in the upper right corner to disconnect and then reconnect to the watch.  Go to Settings > Bluetooth on the phone and check whether the Huawei Watch is displayed in the list of available Bluetooth devices. − If the watch is not listed, unpair the devices and then re-establish the connection. − If the watch is listed, disable and then re-enable Bluetooth.  If you still can't re-establish the Bluetooth connection, restart your watch and phone and then try again.

 Do not unpair your phone and watch from the Bluetooth settings menu on your phone. If you do so, you will have to restore your watch to factory settings to re-pair it with your phone.  After your phone disconnects from the watch, the Android Wear app will attempt to reconnect. The watch can accept reconnect requests, but cannot initiate them. If the watch is disconnected for a prolonged period, the reconnect delay will reach 256s, in which case your phone may take a few minutes to reconnect.  On some phones running Android 6.0 or above, the Android Wear app may be unable to re-establish the Bluetooth connection automatically when the screen is locked and you will need to reconnect manually. Huawei will release a fix for this issue in upcoming version updates.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 3 Connection and Paring

3.12 Huawei Watch_Why is it unable to reconnect automaticly to an iPhone when Bluetooth disconnects? If a Bluetooth connection with an iPhone is interrupted, the watch can reconnect automatically, or you can establish a connection manually.

 Automatic reconnect: The watch will attempt to reconnect to the iPhone at incremental intervals to save power: 30s, 1 min, 2 min, 4 min, 8 min, 16 min, 32 min, 32 min, 32 min…  Manual reconnect: The watch will display a notification card when Bluetooth disconnects. Touch the card to reconnect manually. If your watch does not reconnect for a long time, it could be due to the following reasons:

 The Android Wear app is not running on your iPhone. Your watch can only connect to the iPhone when the Android Wear app is running.  Bluetooth has been disconnected for too long and the reconnect interval is now every 32 min. In this case, touch the notification card to reconnect manually.  If it appeared after first paired, please restore your watch to its factory settings and repairing: Press and hold the watch crown (side button) for 3 seconds, swipe on the screen, and select Settings > Unpair with phone.

3.13 Huawei Watch_How are Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections different?

 The watch prioritizes Bluetooth connections and only connects over Wi-Fi if Bluetooth disconnects.  Bluetooth connections use less power than Wi-Fi connections.  When the watch is connected over Wi-Fi, notifications may be delayed in order to save power.  When the watch is connected over Wi-Fi, your phone must also have a working Internet connection. If your phone is not connected to the Internet, you will not be able to use the watch's voice command, voice search, contacts or message notification features, even if the watch is connected via Wi-Fi.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 6 Sports and Health Monitoring

6.2 Huawei Watch_What factors affect the accuracy of the step count? The Huawei Watch features a state-of-the-art 6-axis motion sensor to ensure an accurate step count. However, you may notice the following step count discrepancies in some circumstances: 1. Step count is too low. Compared to other products, the Huawei Watch is less susceptible to generating invalid data when you are at your desk, moving your arms, eating, or brushing your teeth. Other products may therefore display an artificially high step count. 2. Step count is too high. Even when you aren’t exercising, you may still move your arms or body from time to time. If this done with a regular rhythm over a long period of time, your watch’s motion sensor may erroneously detect this as walking activity and increase the step count. 3. Steps are not recorded. The watch will not record step data when you only walk a few steps, which may result in very small discrepancies. This is an issue that affects all step counters. You may notice a discrepancy between your watch step count and phone step count: 1. Both your watch and phone may occasionally generate invalid step data. However, as your watch and phone are not subjected to exactly the same movements, invalid data generated by your watch may not be recorded on your phone (and vice versa). Discrepancies will also vary between users depending on individual movements. 2. Both your watch and phone record step data using the built-in A+G sensor that measure the back-and-forth motion in your hips. However, as phones are normally placed in a pocket or bag, and watches are worn on your wrist, the thresholds for detecting movement are slightly different. Tests have shown that the Huawei Watch provides accurate step data for a variety of different activities, such as walking, running, jogging, and climbing stairs.

If a user reports regular data inaccuracies, please send usage information, benchmark details, phone model, app version, and watch version to a senior engineer.

6.3 Huawei Watch_Why does my watch sometimes detect the wrong activity state (running)? Why is the step count on my watch sometimes different from the actual number of steps? The watch's counting algorithm is designed to record approximate data over longer periods of exercise. Please exercise for longer before viewing data. Switching activities after a short period of time may also affect the accuracy of step counts.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 11 Battery and Charging&Power Consumption

11.3 Huawei Watch_What is the watch usage time and standby time? Why is the battery life shorter than with other watches? The watch uses a 300 mAh lithium battery manufactured by a leading brand. The battery typically lasts 1.5 days with normal use, including 24 working hours and 8 resting hours. Watch battery life depends on battery capacity and usage. If you install lots of third-party apps or use watch features intensively, this will reduce the standby time. During a 24-hour working period, the watch can perform the following typical tasks:

 Wake up the screen 6 times/hour  Receive 20 notifications/hour  Initiate 5 calls/hour  Reject 15 calls  Answer 30 calls  Remain on standby for the remaining time (with Always-on screen enabled) The following tips can help improve battery life: A. Disable unnecessary app notifications Method 1: Go to the settings screen in the Android Wear app. Under Block app notifications, select those apps for which notifications should be disabled. Method 2: Swipe right on the screen when you receive a notification message and touch Block app to disable notifications for that app. B. Disable the Always-on screen feature

 A full charge takes approximately 90 minutes. Please charge the watch in advance if you think the battery might run out.  Watch battery life depends on battery capacity, watch features and usage. For example, a watch with a color screen uses more power than an e-ink screen. Likewise, smart watches use more power than ordinary electronic watches. Frequent use of smart watch features will also increase power consumption.  The typical usage scenarios above are for reference purposes only.

11.4 Huawei Watch_What are the charger specifications? Please use the standard charger included with your Huawei Watch. If you need to purchase a new charger, the Huawei Watch supports the following charging voltages/currents: 5 V/0.5 A, 5 V/1 A, 5 V/1.5 A, 5 V/2 A.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 11 Battery and Charging&Power Consumption

11.5 Huawei Watch_How long does it take to charge the Huawei Watch? A full charging cycle takes 90 minutes.

The battery icon on the watch's screen indicates the current charging status. Once charged, the battery icon will indicate a full battery.

The watch will enter power saving mode (screen off) if the battery level is lower than 5%.

11.6 Huawei Watch_Are there any charging precautions?

 Keep the charging port dry and wipe off any water or sweat.  The recommended ambient temperature for charging is 32 to 95°F.  The lightning icon indicates that the watch was successfully connected to a power source. If your watch is powered off, it will turn on automatically when you connect it to a power source.

11.7 Huawei Watch_How can I check the battery level and battery usage on my watch? You can check the battery level and usage in the following ways:

 Use a watch face that displays the battery level. There are a number of pre-installed watch faces that support this feature.  Swipe down from the top of the watch's home screen. You can check the battery level from the drop-down menu that appears.  On the watch, touch Settings > About > battery to view the battery level.

 In the Android Wear app, touch to open the settings screen. Under DEVICE SETTINGS, select the connected HUAWEI WATCH, and then touch Watch battery to view detailed battery statistics.

11.8 Huawei Watch_Why doesn't the watch support wireless charging?

 Wired charging is quicker than wireless charging. The watch can be fully charged in just 90 minutes.  Wired charging consumes less power than wireless charging and is therefore more environmentally-friendly. Thank you for your feedback and interest in the Huawei Watch. We will consider your suggestions and continue to optimize our products for a better user experience.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 11 Battery and Charging&Power Consumption

11.9 Huawei Watch_Why does the watch get warm when it is charging? The CPU and watch components continue to operate when the watch is charging, therefore the temperature of the watch may increase slightly; this is entirely normal.

 The watch will become warm if you use it while it is charging, and the charging time will increase. Charge the watch in a well-ventilated area and avoid using apps for prolonged periods when the watch is charging.  When the watch has finished charging, allow it to cool down before putting it back onto your wrist.

11.10 Huawei Watch_Why won't the charging icon disappear even when my watch is fully charged? 1. The charging icon indicates that your watch is connected to a charger. Therefore, the charging icon will not disappear when your watch is still connected to the charger, even when it is fully charged. This is a universal design pattern for watches and smartphones in the industry. 2. We will optimize the charging icon in subsequent versions and produce a solution so that you can tell whether your watch is fully charged.

11.11 Huawei Watch_When charging my watch, why is a crossed-out battery icon displayed? First, check that the watch is connected to the charger properly and that it can power on. If the watch is able to power on, wait until its battery is drained, and then try charging again. If the watch will not power on and a crossed-out battery icon is displayed even after hours of charging, please contact your local service center to arrange for a replacement device or refund.

11.12 Huawei Watch_Will playing music or making calls on my watch consume a lot of battery power? Yes. Playing music or making calls on your watch will consume a lot of battery power and shorten the standby time. Your watch has a standby time of 4 to 5 hours if you continuously play music or make calls. To reduce power consumption, lower the volume.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 13 Product Maintenance

2. Ensure that the metal ridge on the clasp remains within the adjustable area marked on the strap.

 Do not attempt to secure the clasp outside of the adjustable area. This may cause irreparable damage to the strap.  If it feels like you need to use force to secure the clasp, adjust the strap slightly and then try again.

13.2 Huawei Watch_How waterproof/dustproof is my watch? Can I wear it while swimming or diving? The Huawei Watch has an IP67 water and dust resistance rating, meaning that you can use it when washing your hands, cooking, washing your car, or when it is raining. However, the watch is not designed for swimming, diving, or prolonged submersion in water.

13.3 Huawei Watch_How should I clean and care for my watch? Keep the watch and your wrist clean and dry and wipe off any sweat after exercising. Clean your watch regularly using a soft cloth. Regularly use a soft brush to remove any dust or dirt that becomes trapped around the watch face crystals.

Huawei Proprietary and Confidential 105 Copyright © Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 13 Product Maintenance

If you purchased a watch with the stainless steel mesh strap, do not attempt to bend the strap, as this may cause irreparable damage.

13.4 Huawei Watch_In what scenarios will my watch become warm? Your watch may overheat when charging if it is not well ventilated or if it is exposed to high temperatures. For example, if you charge your watch when it is wrapped in clothing, placed under a pillow, or exposed to direct sunlight or ambient temperatures of over 40°C, the watch/charging cradle may overheat and your watch will not charge properly.

13.5 Huawei Watch_Is the watch scratch-resistant?

 The Huawei Watch is housed inside a cold-forged 316L stainless steel bezel. This type of stainless steel is 40% stronger than conventional stainless steel with excellent scratch-resistant properties.  The watch display is protected by a layer of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal (synthetically produced crystal). However, avoid dropping the watch or exposing it to strong impacts. Do not allow the watch face to come into contact with sharp objects. For example, avoid scratching the face with a knife or against a rock.  The strap on the Elegant/Jewel/Topaz models features a gold alloy coating. Gold alloy is a relatively soft material and should be kept away from hard materials and surfaces such as diamond, corundum, oxidized metals, quartz crystal, stones, sandpaper, nail files, knives, and concrete walls.

13.6 Huawei Watch_How can I avoid scratching the watch ?

 The Huawei Watch has passed stringent scratch-resistant tests. All watches are shipped with a protective film.  The watch is designed to withstand impacts during normal everyday use. However, do not allow the watch to come into contact with sharp objects such as keys and other metal objects that may scratch the watch.  Avoid impacts with metal objects or hard materials. Care for your watch in the same way you would care for your phone.

13.7 Huawei Watch_Why does the leather strap crease? It is normal for the leather strap to crease during use. All leather straps are molded at a high temperature before delivery. When you wear the strap, it will bend to fit the shape of your wrist, which will extend the fibers in the leather. Creases will appear when you take the strap off and bend the leather. This is entirely normal.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 13 Product Maintenance

13.8 Huawei Watch_How should I care for my leather strap?

 Pull the strap carefully when putting your watch on to reduce wear and tear.  Keep your leather strap in a dry, well-ventilated area and wipe it dry immediately after exposure to water. Use a tissue or soft cotton cloth to wipe dust off the strap.  Avoid wearing the watch in hot or rainy weather or when swimming, taking a shower, or exercising for prolonged periods. Wipe off any water or dirt using a clean cloth or tissue. Place the strap in a cool, well-ventilated area to dry and then apply a layer of leather polish.  Do not dry the strap by placing it in direct sunlight or by using heating appliances such as microwaves or hairdryers, otherwise it may shrink/expand.  Avoid contact with rough or sharp objects to prevent damage to your strap.  Do not compress the strap or bend it for prolonged periods, otherwise it may change shape.  Keep the watch strap away from flammable, acidic, and alkaline materials. Natural marks or imperfections on the leather are not covered by the warranty.  Do not pull the strap too tight to prevent creases. Do not bend the strap in the wrong direction, as this will result in creases or cracks in the leather.  Do not attempt to punch holes in the strap yourself. Failure to apply protective oil after punching holes will cause the strap to crack.  Apply a thin layer of vaseline to the strap during the autumn/winter. Wipe the strap dry using a soft cloth and then apply the vaseline. Reapply the vaseline after approximately one week.

13.9 Huawei Watch_ Will the watch crystals become dislodged or crack? The crystals used on the Huawei Watch are embedded into the watch case in a 4-prong setting and will not normally become dislodged or crack, provided that the watch is not exposed to strong impacts.

13.10 Huawei Watch_Is the leather strap water-resistant? The leather strap must not be exposed to water or sweat for prolonged periods, such as when swimming, taking a shower, or exercising during rainy weather, otherwise the strap may develop an unpleasant odor, lose its soft texture, or become deformed or cracked. Ensure that you care for your strap during day-to-day use.

13.11 Huawei Watch_How do I remove water stains or dirt from the leather strap? If there are water stains or dirt on your strap, follow the steps below:

Huawei Proprietary and Confidential 107 Copyright © Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 13 Product Maintenance

1. Gently wipe the surface of the strap using a soft brush soaked in clean water. If the dirt does not come off, apply a small amount of toothpaste to the brush. 2. Use a hairdryer to blow cold air onto the strap until it is completely dry (do not use the hot air setting). Finally, apply a thin layer of vaseline and place the strap in a well-ventilated area.

13.12 Huawei Watch_How should I clean and care for light-colored straps? If you watch has a light-colored strap, do not allow it to come into contact with dark-colored clothing, otherwise the strap may discolor. Use a soft brush dipped in clean water to wipe any dirt off the surface of the strap. For persistent stains, rub a small amount of toothpaste onto the affected area.

Your phone will attempt to re-establish the connection with your watch. The connection will normally be re-established within 5 minutes. If the connection was not re-established after 5 minutes, disable the Bluetooth connection in the Android Wear app and then attempt to reconnect.

14.2 Huawei Watch_Why isn't my watch charging? If your watch isn't charging, follow the steps below:

 Ensure that the metal charging contacts on the back of your watch are aligned correctly with the pins on the charging cradle.  Check that there is no dirt or corrosion on the metal charging contacts or the charging cradle pins.  Check that the pins on the charging cradle are intact.

 It is recommended that you plug the cradle into the back of your watch then check to see if the charging icon is displayed. If you cannot see the charging icon, you may need to wiggle the cradle until contact is established and the charging icon appears.  If you encounter any of the issues above and cannot rectify them by yourself, take your watch to your local Huawei service center.

14.3 Huawei Watch_Why does the watch drain the battery so quickly? If the battery life is short, follow the steps below:

 Check whether you have installed third-party apps or watch faces such as wearADay. Third-party watch faces are not approved by Google and can drain the battery very quickly when in ambient mode.  If you find that you often wake the screen unintentionally when lifting or tilting your wrist, open the Android Wear app and touch to open the settings screen. Under DEVICE SETTINGS, select the connected Huawei Watch and turn off Tilt to wake screen.

 On Android phones, you can open the Android Wear app and touch to open the settings screen. Under DEVICE SETTINGS, select the connected Huawei Watch, and then touch Watch battery to view detailed battery statistics. If a third-party app is using too much battery, try uninstalling it and see if your watch's battery life improves. If none of the above are effective, follow the troubleshooting steps below:

 Check that the phone paired with the watch has a working Internet connection and that it can access Google PlayTM.  Check if the watch is connected to other devices. Swipe left on the watch's home screen and touch Settings > Bluetooth devices to view the connection log.  Check whether Wi-Fi is enabled on the watch. is enabled. Connect to the same Wi-Fi network with your phone and check if you can access Google PlayTM.  Check that you are using the official Android Wear app to pair your phone and watch. Using third-party apps to pair the devices can interfere with Google services.  Check if you have recently installed a new app on your phone which has been synced with the watch. If so, try uninstalling the new app and see if your watch's battery life improves.  The battery will drain more quickly when you use the music playback or voice call features. The battery provides 4–5 hours of continuous music playback or voice calls. Decrease the volume to reduce power consumption.

14.4 Huawei Watch_Why won't the watch power on?

The battery may be empty. If so, connect you watch to the charging cradle. The icon will be displayed to indicate that the watch is charging. The watch will power on automatically after charging for a few minutes. If the watch does not power on after charging and becomes warm to the touch, follow the steps below:

 Check that the watch is in the correct position on the charging cradle and fully connected to the charging pins.  Check that there are no foreign objects on the charging cradle or metal contacts. In addition, check that there is no sign of corrosion on the metal contacts and ensure that the charging pins are not bent. If the charging cradle or metal contacts are damaged, contact your local Huawei service center.

14.5 Huawei Watch_Why don't I receive push notifications when my phone is locked? Push notifications are sent to your watch via the Android Wear app. Ensure that your watch is paired with your phone via Bluetooth, then check that the Android Wear app has been added to the Protected apps list. On your phone, go to Settings > Protected apps, then select the Android Wear app. You will now be able to receive push notifications on your watch when your phone is locked.

14.6 Huawei Watch_What can I do if the volume of my watch recordings is too low or there is too much interference?

 Check whether any objects are obstructing the microphone and remove them carefully.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 14 Requirement&Complain&Special Isuue and Sulotion

 The watch's microphone is located on the upper side of the watch. Direct your voice at the watch's display when recording.  Keep the watch within 10 cm of your mouth to ensure a clear recording. If you are recording in a noisy environment, speak up or move closer to the watch.

If there is no background noise and the recording quality is still poor even when you speak up, contact your local service center.

14.7 Huawei Watch_What is the Bluetooth transmission range? In an ideal scenario (i.e. no obstructions), the Bluetooth transmission range is approximately 10 m. However, obstructions (e.g. walls or furniture), complex Wi-Fi environments, microwaves, and multiple Bluetooth connections may limit the effective range. This is due to the limitations of the Bluetooth protocol.

14.8 Huawei Watch_The watch doesn't adjust the display brightness automatically. Does this mean that the watch does not have an ambient light sensor? Yes. The Huawei Watch does not yet have an ambient light sensor. An ambient light sensor will be included on future models.

14.9 Huawei Watch_How do I check the watch charging status?

 When the watch is charging after being powered off, will be displayed. The watch will automatically power on after being charged for a while.  The circle on the watch face indicates the charging status. The larger the arc is, the more the charged battery power.  The default watch face (Moon Phase) features a flashing charging icon. This makes the charging icon more obvious.  Swipe down from the top of the display during charging to view the current battery level and charging status.

14.10 Huawei Watch_Why doesn't the watch come with a tool to adjust the strap? The watch's packaging is too small to accommodate a watch strap tool.

Huawei Proprietary and Confidential 113 Copyright © Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.

HUAWEI WATCH FAQs-en_us-V2.8 14 Requirement&Complain&Special Isuue and Sulotion

If you need to adjust the size of your watch strap, take it to a specialist shop (such as a Huawei Watch retailer or a watch shop). Do not attempt to adjust the strap yourself.

14.11 Huawei Watch_Why does the watch case look so thick?

 The watch case is 11.3 mm thick and contains over 260 components. A certain amount of space is needed due to the large number of components and the complicated manufacturing process.  A thick watch case is also a trendy design feature seen on many other watches.  The watch has been designed based on current trends in watch fashion. Huawei has signed a partnership with two of the world's biggest fashion icons - Victoria's Secret supermodel Karlie Kloss and male supermodel Sean O'Pry – to market the Huawei Watch to a global audience.

14.12 Huawei Watch_Why is the Huawei Watch so expensive?

 The watch's case is made from stainless steel, and the Huawei Watch is the world's first smartwatch to feature Android Wear and a sapphire crystal display.  The classic circular design provides a comfortable wearing experience.  Huawei provides a selection of stylish watch straps to suit a variety of different occasions.

14.13 Huawei Watch_Why are the watch's vibrations so weak?

 The watch's vibrations come from a cutting-edge motor that is built into the watch case.
