Previous meetings • The teams are meeting for the first time in UEFA competition in what is Augsburg's first encounter with Dutch opponents. • AZ's five games against German clubs have ended W1 D2 L2 (W1 D1 L0 in Alkmaar – W0 D1 L2 in Germany). Form guide • AZ have scored twice in each of their six European fixtures (W4 L2) this term, 12 goals in total. • Augsburg have lost their first two UEFA games 3-1. • In seven previous campaigns in the UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League group stage, AZ have advanced to the knockout stage five times, most recently in 2013/14 when they got as far as the last eight. • Founded in 1907, Augsburg finished fifth in Germany last term, qualifying directly for the UEFA Europa League group stage as a result. Trivia and links • The journey from Augsburg to Alkmaar is around 650km. • Augsburg's Estonia defender Ragnar Klavan joined the club from AZ in 2012, having helped them win the Eredivisie title in 2008/09. • Augsburg have a Dutch right-back in Paul Verhaegh, who represented PSV Eindhoven, FC Den Bosch and Vitesse before moving to Germany. Their Slovenia striker Tim Matavž has also played in the Eredivisie, for FC Groningen and PSV. • Augsburg's Piotr Trochowski was an unused substitute when Sevilla FC beat SL Benfica in the 2014 UEFA Europa League final. The coaches • AZ boss since 2014, John van den Brom spent the majority of his playing days as a midfielder at Vitesse. Capped twice, he went on to coach AFC Ajax's youth team, ADO Den Haag and Vitesse before heading to RSC Anderlecht and lifting the Belgian title in 2012/13. • Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl's playing career peaked when he spent a season with the first-team squad at FC Bayern München, though he never played a senior game. Augsburg appointed him in 2012 following a spell at SSV Jahn Regensburg and he has thrived in the role, last term's fifth-place finish a club best. 3 AZ Alkmaar - FC Augsburg Thursday 22 October 2015 - 19.00CET (19.00 local time) Match press kit AZ Stadion, Alkmaar Team facts AZ Alkmaar Formed: 1967 Nickname: Kaaskoppen (Cheeseheads) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • UEFA Cup: (1981) Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) League title: 2 (2009) Dutch Cup: 4 (2013) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2014/15: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2013/14: quarter-finals 2012/13: play-offs 2011/12: quarter-finals 2010/11: group stage 2009/10: UEFA Champions League group stage 2008/09: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2007/08: group stage 2006/07: quarter-finals 2005/06: round of 32 Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 11-1: AZ v FC Differdange 03 14/09/77, UEFA Cup first round first leg • Biggest away win 0-5: FC Differdange 03 v AZ 27/09/77, UEFA Cup first round second leg • Heaviest home defeat 0-5: AZ v FC Anji Makhachkala 30/08/12, UEFA Europa League play-off second leg • Heaviest away defeat 4-0: Valencia CF v AZ 05/04/12, UEFA Europa League quarter-final second leg UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 11-1: AZ v FC Differdange 03 (see above) • Biggest away win 0-5: FC Differdange 03 v AZ (see above) • Heaviest home defeat 0-5: AZ v FC Anji Makhachkala (see above) • Heaviest away defeat 4-0: Valencia CF v AZ (see above) FC Augsburg Formed: 1907 Nickname: Fuggerstädter (people from the Fuggers' city, in honour of a prominent local merchant family) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • None Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) None Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2014/15: did not take part in UEFA club competition 4 AZ Alkmaar - FC Augsburg Thursday 22 October 2015 - 19.00CET (19.00 local time) Match press kit AZ Stadion, Alkmaar 2013/14: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2012/13: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2011/12: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2010/11: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2009/10: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2008/09: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2007/08: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2006/07: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2005/06: did not take part in UEFA club competition Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win N/A • Biggest away win N/A • Heaviest home defeat 1-3: Augsburg v FK Partizan 01/10/15, UEFA Europa League group stage • Heaviest away defeat 3-1: Athletic Club v Augsburg 17/09/15, UEFA Europa League group stage UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win N/A • Biggest away win N/A • Heaviest home defeat 1-3: Augsburg v FK Partizan 01/10/15, UEFA Europa League group stage • Heaviest away defeat 3-1: Athletic Club v Augsburg (see above) 5 AZ Alkmaar - FC Augsburg Thursday 22 October 2015 - 19.00CET (19.00 local time) Match press kit AZ Stadion, Alkmaar Squad list AZ Alkmaar Current season All-time QUAL UEL League UEL UEFA No. Player Nat. • NETHERLANDS V ITALY MATCH PRESS KIT Municipal, Aveiro Monday, 29 May 2006 - 19:45 Local Time Final Tournament - Group Phase Group B - Matchday 6
NETHERLANDS v ITALY MATCH PRESS KIT Municipal, Aveiro Monday, 29 May 2006 - 19:45 local time Final tournament - Group phase Group B - Matchday 6 For two countries with rich heritage at all levels, it is perhaps surprising that when the Netherlands and Italy come face to face in the third and final round of Group B matches at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, it will be their first competitive meeting. Italy sit top of the group with four points thanks to Giorgio Chiellini's added-time winner against Ukraine which followed their similarly dramatic 3-3 draw with Denmark. The Netherlands are still looking for their first victory after losing to Ukraine then drawing with Denmark, and must win to advance. • The countries have rarely come into opposition at youth level either, although when they have crossed paths it has invariably been a close contest. At the 2005 European U17 Championship hosts Italy won through to a semi-final against the Dutch but home advantage proved irrelevant on this occasion with Melvin Zaalman getting the only goal for the Netherlands in extra time. Italy had had the better of their four meetings at U16 level with three victories including a 6-1 triumph in the 1990 qualifying round and edged out the Dutch on penalties to reach the U18 finals in 1998/99, when they went on to the final before losing to Portugal. • At senior level perhaps their most significant meeting was in the semi-finals of UEFA EURO 2000™ when, on home soil, the Dutch missed two penalties in normal time against ten-man Italy with Frank de Boer and Patrick Kluivert both failing from the spot.

SRPNA – 20.15 HOD. Pavel Vrba hlavní trenér FC Viktoria Plzeň Dear sport fans, Let me invite you in today‘s game retaliatory in the third round of the Champions League, in which we host Rosenborg BK from Norway.

  • Zo Staat De Selectie Van FC Utrecht Ervoor Richting Komend Seizoen
