MEDIA & GAME DAY PARKING • Media are required to purchase parking for all Michigan home games. • Individual game permits cost $10, while season permits cost $170. • All requests and payment(s) can be made when applying for game credentials at mgoblue.com/media • There is no designated media lot; all media will receive a Blue Lot which surrounds the Crisler Center north side parking lots. Parking attendants will be available to direct media to the appropriate area. • The University of Michigan, the U-M Athletic Department and U-M Athletic Communications are not responsible for parking tickets received during a game day or during the week. SATELLITE TRUCK PARKING • All television trucks with parking and power needs, and satellite truck services and/or general information should contact Crisler Center Facility Manager Jenny Scherer at [email protected] or (734) 763-1659 MEDIA WILL CALL & CREDENTIAL SCANNING • Media check in is located at the security area in the Crisler Center Weiser Tunnel (north). • Media are encouraged to pick up credentials prior to the game by: 1) Mail -- well in advance of the game -- as the University can take some extra time. Please select mailing during the online credentialing process 2) Office Pick-up. Typically, credentials will be available in the Communications office from 9 to 2 p.m. on game days. After 2 p.m., they will be brought to the arena. If there is a special need for pick up, please contact Tom Wywrot, and/or Megan McIntosh • All media entering Crisler Center are subject to a security bag check by a University of Michigan Event Team Member or U-M Department of Public Safety & Security representative. • All season credentialed media will have the bar code scanned by a University of Michigan Event Team Member. MEDIA SEATING • Media seating is located in Crisler Center's northeast upper level seating -- sections 201 & 202. • Michigan does not have designated media workroom at Crisler Center. • A photography work room -- just off the Weiser Tunnel (north tunnel) is available. • A seating chart is available at the will call pick-up area in the Weiser Tunnel (north). • Seating charts are also posted throughout the photography work area as well as in the upper level. PHOTOGRAPHY WORK AREA • SPECIAL NOTE: U-M's photo area also serves as the area for pregame meals for all media. • The photo area is available for photographers in the back-of-house/loading dock area just off the Crisler Center Weiser Tunnel (north) entrance. • Seating is first come, first serve. Power outlets as well as wireless service is available. Ethernet is not available. PHOTOGRAPHY DURING GAME • All photographer seating in the front row is assigned, second row positions are first come, first serve. In order to obtain a specific position, please contact Michigan Photography's Eric Bronson. • A seating chart will be posted in the photo area as well as behind each basket. • All photographers are required to shoot on either the north (right side of basket, from baseline) or south (right side of basket, from baseline) baseline. There are two rows generally for games. • Mounting cameras on the backboard or stanchion is allowed. However, it is at the referee's discretion to have cameras moved or removed if they so choose. Please refer to Big Ten and NCAA guidelines for additional information. • Rafter cameras as well as strobe lighting is allowed, however, pregame permission must be granted from Tom Wywrot, Eric Bronson and Crisler Center personnel. All remote and strobes must be set up and approved three hours prior to tipoff. Please note, there are possibilities of team practices so the arena floor in which floor and rafter access could be closed. • Photographers are prohibited from shooting from the inner concourse, or seating areas. Any specific needs/requests should be made through Tom Wywrot, and/or Megan McIntosh. NBA SCOUTS • NBA Scouts are required to purchase ticket(s) and parking to Michigan basketball games. • Tickets, game credential and information packets are provided for NBA Scouts at the media will call table located in the Weiser Tunnel (north tunnel). • NBA Scouts are allowed into the Crisler Center media areas including postgame press room as well as photographer/meal area located just off the Weiser Tunnel entrance. • NBA Scouts are allowed to enter and exit through the Weiser Tunnel. INTERNET/WIRELESS/PHONES • Electrical outlets, high-speed internet access and/or wireless access is available in the press areas. • Media members should access the wireless network "MGoBluePress" with a sign-on ID and password "hail.hail" • Media representatives requiring phone service should contact AT&T at 800-321-8152 to set up service. Phone lines are not provided to media. • Media representatives requiring a specific internet connection(s) or should contact Tom Wywrot, and/or Megan McIntosh, prior to game. POSTGAME PRESS CONFERENCE • Postgame press conferences will be held in the Crisler Center Media Room. • After the conclusion of the game and the 10-minute cooling off period, a typical postgame press conference will follow this order: 1) Visiting Team Coach (Crisler Media Center) 2) Select Michigan players in breakout interviews (Crisler Media Center) 3) Michigan Head Coach Juwan Howard (Crisler Media Center) POSTGAME MICHIGAN PLAYER(S): Any media member with a specific player request should direct their request to U-M Basketball contact Tom Wywrot, Megan McIntosh or a member of the U-M Athletic Communications staff, prior to the end of the game. POSTGAME VISITING PLAYER(S): All opponent player interviews need to be requested to the visiting SID and are generally conducted outside their locker room located in the Weiser Tunnel (north side). GAME DAY MATERIALS • Pregame notes, bio packets and statistical packets for Michigan, opponent and conference will be made available in the Work Area. Limited copies will be made available to media. • Michigan does not produce a media guide; all information is available on MGoBlue.com • For historical statistical database information, please visit: Statistical Archive IN-GAME STATISTICS • Statistics will be distributed at the end of each half and at the conclusion of the game. • Live statistics also will be available via michigan.statbroadcast.com USE OF AUDIO/VIDEO IN COVERAGE OF UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN ATHLETICS • Any media entity collecting any sort of "video or audio materials" (film, traditional video or audio, digital video or audio, photos, etc.) from University of Michigan Athletics game events, practices or press conference/media events may use that material only for traditional television newscasts or Web-based or print news coverage, with a limitation of up to five (5) minutes in length from any single event. • Such media entity may not offer any live video, audio or other coverage of the event through any means, including radio broadcasts, television broadcasts, Web-casts or podcasts, without the advance, written permission of University of Michigan Athletics. • This policy includes all games, matches, practices and events involving any of University of Michigan’s athletic programs. It includes all media events: press conferences, pre/post-practice interviews and pre/post-game interviews. • An exception would be a one-on-one interview arranged through the U-M Communications office with a Wolverines coach, athlete or administrator. USE OF GAME HIGHLIGHTS (PER BIG TEN CONFERENCE) • A maximum of two minutes (2:00) of game video footage (without audio) may be utilized during the 96 hours following the conclusion of the game solely within regularly scheduled bona fide news programming distributed via television and may not be distributed via the internet, wireless or other forms of media. DIRECTIONS TO CRISLER CENTER • FROM DETROIT METRO AIRPORT AND POINTS EAST: Take I-94 west to Ann Arbor-Saline Road (exit 175). Turn right and follow Ann Arbor- Saline Road as it turns into Main Street, going north for approximately 1 1/2 miles. Crisler Center is located near the northeast corner of Main and Stadium Boulevard next to Michigan Stadium. For parking continue straight past Michigan Stadium and turn right onto East Keech Avenue and turn right into the lot just past Michigan Stadium onto Kipke Street.
