ith the launching of the Provincial Statistical System Development Project, Palawan is one of the pilot provinces. The officials of the Statistics Authority from Central Office spearheaded by the W National Statistician Dr. Lisa Grace S. Bersales along with the DNS and ANS attended the session of Sanguniang Panlalawigan of Palawan, and subsequently conducted meeting with the honourable governor of Palawan Jose Ch. Alvarez. NS Bersales acted as presenter re: Concept Paper on Local Statistical System Development Project.

Camilmil, Calapan City. The said event was participated by Representatives from Regional Line Agencies (RLAs), Local Government Units (LGUs), Academe, Private Sectors and Media. The program was start- ed by an Invocation and the singing of National Anthem fol- lowed by the recognition of participants facilitated by Dr. Luis T. The Presentation of the Highlights of the 2015 Regional Economy of MIMAROPA was presented by RD Leni R. Rioflorido of PSA MIMAROPA. She discussed the 2014 - 2015 Gross Regional Domestic Product of MIMAROPA, its growth rate and its comparison to other regions. She also discussed the sectors comprising the GRDP such as the Agriculture, Hunting, Forestry and Fishing (AHFF), Industry Sector and the Service Sector. Susan Sumbeling, OIC-Director of NEDA 4B also gave her statement. It was followed by the Mr. Christian Patrick E. The 2015 Census of Population Regional Data Dissemination Forum of PSA MIMAROPA Region was conducted on September 30, 2015, 9:00 A.M. at Feraren Hills Resort, Barangay Lumangbayan, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. Production of palay in MIMAROPA gained 20.92 percent increment during the third quarter of 2016. The positive shift was influenced by the increment from irrigated and rainfed type.

Production from all MIMAROPA provinces showed almost the same trend except in Occidental Mindoro and Romblon which declined from 10,356 metric tons to 9,720 metric tons equivalent to 6.14 percent, and from 1,157 metric to 905 metric tons or as much as 21.78 percent, respectively.
