It was at VFW Post 4012 in Northville that, for the 1st time in the history of our State, a male member was installed as Auxiliary President. But, before that happened, the Auxiliary was instituted by Department of Michigan President, Deb Hanes. With about 75 people in attendance, Linda Burton, Past Department President, was afforded the opportunity to install her son, Jonathan Burchard, to the position of Auxiliary President. Mr. Burchard is one of the first men in the country to have been installed as Auxiliary President. He is eager to continue working with the Auxiliary as they work to help the VFW.
