TO: AT40 SUBSCRIBERS FROM: TOM ROUNDS, WATERMARK DATE: MAY 1, 1980 Included in this week's show (#802-6) is an acknowledgement of a forthcoming media event known as "America's Top 10." A syndicated weekly 30-minute television program hosted by Casey Kasem, "America's Top 10" is produced by Scotti Brothers/ in association with Kasem/Bustany Productions/Syd Vinnedge Television/and distributed by Gold Key Media. Gold Key is a division of Vidtronics, which is a division of the Technicolor Corporation. Although "America's -Top 10" is neither produced nor distribu ted by Watermark, we certainly support the show as we do all of Casey's endeavors in the media. Because "America's Top 10" is syndicated, it will be scheduled at various times in various markets. If you are interested in tying in with the program in any way, or, perhaps soliciting cross promotion or cross sponsorship from the program's local affiliate, station information will appear weekly in TV Guide. The first show will be broadcast the week of May 5, 1980. We will be providing channel and schedule information as soon as possible. A brief announcement is made on "America's Top 10" inside the split logo at commercial position C-3 in hour IV of this week's America's Top 40. It runs about :15 and ends with: " ... and starts this week in many U.S. cities." This announcement may easily be deleted from the AT40 broadcast in the usual way if you decide not to air it. ~ Watermarkw D 10700 VENTURA BLVD. D NO.
