In January, the kids attended a women’s basketball game and were treated to a courtside party. Student-athletes also took part in the Carle Pediatric Oncology Holiday Party in December and are now planning activities for “Illini Day” for their summer camp in July. 22 The mission of the Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics is ... Online Giving Campaign: “Give Online, Double Your Priority Points” As technology continues to improve, Illinois has greater ability to communicate and operate in much more efficient ways than ever dreamed possible 10 years ago. In this technologically savvy era, the I FUND wants to utilize this new resource to be able to better serve the generous supporters of Illinois Athletics. Processing gifts online gives us accurate information and also decreases the amount of time to process gifts. For the donor, giving online is quick and easy, eliminates mailing costs and can be done at any time of the day or night. This year, which started December 2004 and will extend though this calendar year, the I FUND rewarded donors for making their donation online by giving them double priority points. So far, the campaign has proved to be very successful! Through online giving this past year, the I FUND surpassed its goal of $450,000 and raised close to $1.6 million. This is an incredi- ble amount of money raised and the development staff wants to send out a big thank you to all of the generous donors who helped meet and exceed this year’s goal.
