“I worked with Philip on a recent stand alone episode of Holby City (Series 16, New Year Special ep. 13). We had a number of scenes on the Holby set which Philip lit really well and, although he had to follow the look of the series, was able to put his stamp on a new set built for the episode. He did however come into his own when we went on location. We had a lot of party scenes to film, day for night, and the location consisted of huge rooms. With limited equipment he lit the scenes beautifully, making the locations look rich and warm, adding to the glamour of the occasion needed for the drama. I really enjoyed working with Philip, he was fully committed to the episode, was positive and cheerful at all times and able to adapt whenever necessary” Director Julie Edwards

“Philip Robertson is a very creative Director of photography. I have worked with him on numerous occasions and I have always found him to be production friendly, good with cast and crew alike and a valuable asset to the Production.” Producer / Line Producer Robbie Sandison“

I worked with Phil Robertson for some 3 months on location in Russia, (Moscow & Yaroslavl), during which time he proved himself to be a talented and resourceful technician and head of department. Phil rose to the challenges thrown at him, not just technical and creative, but also political. We often worked in difficult locations and in an air of intimidation, and I remain grateful for his support during that time. I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending him.” Line Producer Bill Shapter
