    2017 Annual Report 2017 Annual Letter To our fellow shareholders: Every now and then I am introduced to someone who knows, kind of, who I am and what I do and they instinctively ask, ‘‘How are things at Saga?’’ (they pronounce it ‘‘say-gah’’). I am polite and correct their pronunciation (‘‘sah-gah’’) as I am proud of the word and its history. This is usually followed by, ‘‘What is a ‘‘sah-gah?’’ My response is that there are several definitions — a common one from 1857 deems a ‘‘Saga’’ as ‘‘a long, convoluted story.’’ The second one that we prefer is ‘‘an ongoing adventure.’’ That’s what we are. Next they ask, ‘‘What do you do there?’’ (pause, pause). I, too, pause, as by saying my title doesn’t really tell what I do or what Saga does. In essence, I tell them that I am in charge of the wellness of the Company and overseer and polisher of the multiple brands of radio stations that we have. Then comes the question, ‘‘Radio stations are brands?’’ ‘‘Yes,’’ I respond. ‘‘A consistent allusion can become a brand. Each and every one of our radio stations has a created personality that requires ongoing care. That is one of the things that differentiates us from other radio companies.’’ We really care about the identity, ambiance, and mission of each and every station that belongs to Saga. We have radio stations that have been on the air for close to 100 years and we have radio stations that have been created just months ago.

INTRODUCTION 1. In this Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture (“NAL”), we find that Minority Business and Housing Development, Inc. (“Minority Business”), the licensee of radio station WYGG, has apparently violated Sections 11.35(a) and 73.1350(a) of the Commission’s Rules (the “Rules”).1 These sections respectively, require that the station have installed an operational EAS system, and that the station operate in accordance with the terms of the station authorization. We conclude that Minority Business is apparently liable for a forfeiture in the amount of thirteen thousand dollars ($13,000). II. BACKGROUND 2. On February 20, 2002, the Philadelphia Office received information that Minority Business was operating station WYGG with an excessive antenna height. In response, the Philadelphia Office assigned an FCC agent to inspect the station. During the inspection on April 26, 2002, the FCC agent found that Minority Business had mounted WYGG’s antenna on the roof of a 13-story building at 601 Bangs Avenue, Asbury Park, New Jersey at an overall height above ground level of 43.9 meters (144 feet). The station’s license (File No. BLED-19990304KZ) authorizes Minority Business to operate WYGG at 517 Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park, New Jersey with an antenna height of 14 meters (45.9 feet) above ground level The FCC agent also attempted to inspect WYGG’s Emergency Alert System ("EAS") equipment.

    INTRODUCTION Matt Mead was sworn in as Wyoming's 32nd Governor on January 3, 2011. Born in Jackson, Wyoming, Governor Mead was raised on the family ranch in Teton County. He has a law degree from the University of Wyoming and a BA degree from Trinity University in San Antonio. The Governor has served as a county and federal prosecutor, practiced in a private firm, and served as United States Attorney for Wyoming from October 2001 to June 2007. After he stepped down as U.S. Attorney, Matt and his wife Carol, the First Lady, returned full time to operating their farming and ranching business in southeast Wyoming. Since taking office, the Governor has put a focus on economic growth, a state energy strategy, consolidation of government services, supporting local government and enhancing infrastructure, and creating additional access to high-speed broadband. Governor Mead continues to travel to communities around the state to hear from residents in the places where they live and work. He maintains an open door policy in his office at the Capitol Building. Representing the interests of the state, the Governor also serves in regional and national leadership roles. He serves on the Council of Governors and the Natural Resources Committee of the National Governors Association. He is also co-chair of the State and Federal Sage Grouse Task Force, which brings together federal officials and representatives of 11 western states for a regional conservation effort. Matt and Carol have been married 23 years.
