MIXED SUMMER HOCKEY 2016 The 2015/16 season didn’t really end at Guildford; starting right FOR NOW BOOK after Easter and running through to 3rd August the summer Former GB player FORTITUDE season was nearly as long as the winter season! @ GUILDFORD HC and Director of Junior Well over 100 members enjoyed summer hockey this year, and Coaching at GHC we also welcomed some non-members who have since joined GHC for the new season. The summer players entered several summer festivals, two at Surrey Spartans and one down at Yateley involving an overnight camp and a lot of fun hockey. We hosted our own festival at LEARN FROM THE BEST - Work hard, play hard! Guildford on 21st May and welcomed teams from Havant, Old Cranleighans, Worthing, three representative sides and three Top quality hockey coaching in the school holidays for U10 - U18 players teams from Guildford. We will look to repeat this again from an amazing line-up of internationally-capped players including next year as a great day was had by all. David Ames, Zoe Shipperley, Harry Gibson and Ian Sloan The summer season concluded with a trip to The Big Apple in Woking where everyone enjoyed shooting each other with laser guns, but all rivalry was forgotten in the pub afterwards!
