To certain extent rejuvenation of old orchards is being supported under NHM through demonstrations. Rejuvenation and conversion into high density orchards need strong support, so that senile orchards can be made more productive with increased density. Similarly, the modern machinery such as pole pruners, chain saws, elevated platforms, pneumatic pruners is required to be made available by the government on large scale in each district.
