“1986 Emmy Awards.” Emmys, NBC, 1968. ​ ​ I use a clip of the award speech of Betty White on my website. This represented the

talent of the actresses.

“1987 Emmy Awards.” Emmys, Fox, 1987. ​ ​ I use a clip of the award speech of Rue McClanahan that shows how the show had

continued to catch the eyes of the public for a controversial episode.

“1988 Emmy Awards.” Emmys, Fox, 1988. ​ ​ I use two clips for and Estelle Getty’s award speeches. These help to convey

the success of the show through the countless awards and nominations.

Andrew Gold. “Thank You for Being a Friend.” All This and Heaven Too, Asylum Records, 1978. ​ ​ I use some of the lyrics from the theme song of the series to end off the website as a

kind goodbye understood by people familiar with the show.

“Fall Preview: .” TV Guide, 14 Sept. 1985. ​ ​ This TV Guide magazine describes the show’s plot and characters. I use the picture of

the page to show the series from its time.

Gold, Todd. “GOLDEN GIRLS IN THEIR PRIME.” The Saturday Evening Post, 1986. ​ ​ This is a magazine that discusses The Golden Girls as it had just recently came out. I ​ ​ use pictures and information from this source.

This magazine article from 1986, dives into the celebrities actual lives and how the show

was new compared to other airing shows. I use this source as a reference to being a

revolutionary television show.
