Premises: messuage with tan-yards and several parcels of land in Acton, settled by (1) upon (2) and (3), reserving life interest in certain rooms in said messuage, stables and Great Barn, to (1). ACC/0276/024 Probate of will and codicil of William Finch of nd Acton, tanner (probate act missing) made 13 Jan [1701/2]. Bequests include: to wife Elizabeth, messuage, tan yard and all real estate in Acton for life, with reversion to son Thomas; to daughter Susanna £70. for marriage portion as her sisters had had, to be raised by mortgage of 4½ acres land in Southfield and Churchfield. Executrix: wife Elizabeth. Codicil; 13 April 1702, leaving daughters Susanna, Elizabeth and Mary guinea each to buy mourning rings. ACC/0276/025 Marriage settlement. 1703 2 Sep 1. Admission 1719 9 Jul of Richard Bartholomew by devise of will of brother, Charles. Premises: two messuages and 64½ acres of land late in occupation of Thomas Seaton jun., known as Bartholomew's Farm. Consideration: yearly rent 17s. 11d., heriot of one spade worth £5. 5s. ACC/0276/033 Copy of court roll: manor of Ashford. Admission 1723 19 Sep of Henry Hawkins and wife Martha. Premises: one cottage on waste land of Ashford. Consideration: yearly rent of 6d., two days' work; no admission fine on account of his poverty. ACC/0276/034 Copy of court roll: manor of Ashford. Admission 1741 31 Dec of Robert Tomlin by devise of will of Gerard Tomlin, and immediate surrender to George Mullins who is then admitted, and surrenders to uses of his will.
